What Was The Best Christmas Present You Ever Received?

I have been buying gifts slowly and stashing them away till Christmas day. So, it brought me back some old memories of Christmas past. The best Christmas present I ever had was not really the toys but the presence of the whole family being merry. Although I loved the dolls my Aunt sent me it is nothing like having everyone present on this festive occasion. What about you what was the best Christmas present or memory you ever had?

funny story. i collect vintage brooches and last year for Christmas, i was hoping to get this really cool one that my mom had bought from an antiqing foray and worn a few times. well, i unwrapped a present that had another brooch in it, very nice but not the one i really loved. i needed a small box for something a few months ago and looked in the gift box that my mom had given the brooch to me in. there was tissue paper in the box so i took it out and guess what? there was the brooch i wanted! it was a nice christmas present that i got in may!

I think the best Christmas present I ever received was the Christmas I got my first dog. I had been asking for a dog all year. There was no indication my parents were going to change their mind. Then that Christmas I opened a wrapped box, and inside was a piece of paper that said "One dog from the pound". I was so psyched! Three days later I went to the pound and got a dog. I named him Sully.

That is good. For several years now I have taken advantage of the after Christmas sales to buy for the next years gift giving. And then through-out the year I purchase and get stuff for free online and put this back also to give. My most memorial Christmas would have to be the surprise visit of my daughter from across the country after not seeing her for several years.

How surprises like unexpected visits from long lost friends and family members that you have not seen for quite sometime can be the most memorable gift they can ever give. It cheers up the heart.

For me it wasn't so much about the gifts that I received, instead it was about the gifts that I gave. I have always loved giving as much as I possibly can and that is really a lot of what Christmas is about for me. In recent history the best reaction that I can think of is the fact that my children absolutely adored the scooters that the got for Christmas last year. Where many gifts that you give are forgotten about pretty quickly, these haven't been forgotten. In fact, the kids tend to use them on a daily basis and I know that it was money well spent.

That is a good idea. Start gathering presents for Christmas now. That way you don't have to do everything on the last minute. Good idea. My best Christmas present? To tell you the truth I don't remember. There was always a lot of stress in the family at that time of year. I seemed to have blocked it out. I remember receiving presents and giving them and buying them, but somehow I was so occupied with how everyone else was reacting, that I don't remember what I was getting or doing. hahaha! Thinking about this know seems rather weird. But I don't remember what presents were given to me. haha! Maybe it will come to be later. haha!

it's that box that can hold a lot. it is so designed that you do not look at it as merely a box. it also serves as a seat to light weight individual.

I don't know that it was the best gift I ever got but one year, when I was really into Care Bears, my sister gave me a stuffed Care Bear. I remember being thrilled over it. Another memorable gift that my mother got me was a leather three piece outfit...jacket, vest and skirt. I wore that jacket and vest all the time, with or without the skirt. I wish I could wear stuff like that still but the old bod has gone the way of all the world since then and I can no longer get away with wearing that sort of thing. LOL...

Besides the fact that I was together with my family and having a lot of fun, I think my best Christmas present so far was being able to spend those days with my boyfriend last year (it was our first Christmas together) :) Another really, really nice one was when I got a tablet several years ago. It's become my main drawing tool and has helped me get much better and get some really nice illustration jobs... and for that, I can't thank my family enough.
