top of it to gets to birds.I now have to keep the bedroom doors shut or the windows in our loft conversion,as our cat gets out of the bedroom windows in the loft and soo far she has worried the lady over the road from me,soo much that she asked a child to knock to tell me where my cat was,as she thought that it might fall. When we called our cat,she did come running down the roof to get in the window.I think that she go on the roof after the pigeons that are my sons as they always sit up there.

Your cat is quite cute. At least she still knows her own way home, and respond to your calls for her. She's an intelligent cat, and she knows what she's doing. Cats are fast in their reaction and most importantly they are agile. Cats are playful in nature too, just the same like dogs, they like to chase around birds, playing. NO worry about your cat, for they have 9 lives, remember?

Hi there jugsjugs My neighbours cat likes to go up on the roof and sometimes he jumps down of their roof, onto the lower roof of my out-house and onto the bins infront of my kitchen window and frightens the life out of me whilst I am doing the washing up haha I wouldn't worry about your cat climbing around and you should tell the lady across the road not to either. Cats are very good climbers and if she should fall she might be a little stunned but would land on her feet and still be perfectly alright.

I have three floors to my house,so if the cat was to fall i do not think that she would land on her feet the way the saying go with a cat will always land on them.I am keeping my windows shut in the loft, aswell as the bedroom doors, just incase she gets up there yet again.

You would be surprized at how far they can fall and still be uninjured. My cat fell from the 6th floor balcony and was fine. Much to my amazement, of course. I couldn't believe it.

haha =D Same like my friend's dog!! He always like to chase around those birds drinking water by the poolside.. haha =D BUt that only happens when he's still a puppy. Being interested in alot of moving things, such as leaf falling as well.. hehe As for your cat, it's just their instinct to stay out of the house, and they just love heights.. haha =D And since u mention that spot is a regular hangout place for your sons, wont it be more dangerous for your sons than the cat?? hehe

We have never had any of our cats climb up on the house roof before,in all the years we have had the cats.We have dogs aswell, they are alot easier to stop climbing i think.

my cats like to climb on the window ledge and just sit there watching the world go by,i hate it as i think they are going to fall off,a few weeks ago one of them did,i acidently scared him when i came into the room and he slipped,so at 12;30 at night there i was in the back garden with a lantern trying to find my cat,i was worried that he'd hurt himself, but next morning he came trotting home for breakfast like nothing had happened

I can not think why the cat wants to get on top of our house roof to get a pigeon,as there are always loads of pigeons on our shed roof for it to get.It scares the hell out of me.I worry if the children have their windows open in case she gets on the roof, so it is windows open only if the bedroom doors are shut from now on.

We've recently started letting Cornbread spend a lot of time outside because it has come to the point that he really doesn't like to share the literbox with Buttercup. Well, I have seen him on the roof of our storage building, but I don't think that he is up there to get close to the birds. Instead, I think that the reason that he goes up there is because it is warmer and also because the kids can't easily get close to him.

Cats climb everywhere, and if they think that it is something interesting, then they will go for it. Cats just love to climb everywhere.

Cats have a good sense of balance and I have seen my cat climb trees then come hurling down unhurt. It was kind of sweet that your neighbor asked you to look after your cat. I don't think keeping your windows closed will keep your cat off the roof. Believe me, your cat will find ways in order to get to the top.

Cats are very nimble and avid climbers out in the wild. She/he is just very much in touch with his/her wild side, I guess. She is hunting birds. My barn cats have caught and eaten pigeons outside. So, it can happen.

Cats will do that. They are adventurous sorts. I have mine in the house 24/7 as you know but they might get to go out this winter after the summer traffic has stopped.

Hiya jugs, What an adventurous Cat. You have your work cut out with that one. How does he get out if the Bedroom Windows are closed or are they left half open sometime and that way he knows when he can get in and out. Might just be interested in any wild Bird around not just the Pigeons. Cats might have many lives but they also have good sense usually.

Yes, cats are great climbers. A cat I used to own used to climb onto the roof but then meow and meow because he didn't seem to know how to get down again. Eventually, I'd have to climb up to rescue him. I don't keep cats now as there is much wildlife around us that I do not want to see killed by cats. Instead, I have a very friendly dog and bunnies. My dog plays with the bunnies and lets them walk all over him. To me, bunnies are like cats except they don't climb all over your benches or eat birds.

My ex cat was just like yours, chasing birds on rooftops, slept on the edge of the balcony and never seem to fall off. I'm sure they wouldn't have done it if it's not safe for them to do so. Cats have lots of wonders too! And I think they do have 9 lives.

I like cats very much, in my home cats and dogs can eat together, when they are eating together,it's very cute, I love them very much, like little babyes.when U see,U don't have to love them. when U come home, they all come out and show welcome. cats will hug your legs, dogs will stand up in two legs,in that time I was in the middle school, when I went home with them, I was very happy.now I come out to the city for work, but I often think them, they are old now, every year I must go home to see them.
