On Occasion I come across a discussions here that really strike a nerve. I am thinking "Oh ya... I have reply for that one". But, don't because may start some sort of debate or be considered "flaming" .... Do you reply? or Do you walk away.

Oh yeah...many times! I can tell some don't really want to "discuss" the topic, but only to argue. Or others that don't want others opinions, just push their own. And then there are those that have a one track mind...of only their point of view or thoughts, so I read them, and think before I respond. Especially in the political interest. Many just want to argue and try to change opinions, and the act of "discussion" never comes up. So I just pick and choose and make up my own mind which I want to respond to.

Too many times. Certain subjects or certain attitudes just push my buttons. And I unfortunately don't walk away as much as I should. I feel like I just can't let certain things go uncontested. Which is probably not a good thing in some ways. On the other hand, it does help me get a few more cents.

Oh, yes. Occasionally, I come across a discussion that no matter how I try to word it, I know it will result in anger or hurt feelings so I just leave them alone. I have to remind myself that people who post here come from all kinds of cultures and what I understand as reasonable may not be that at all to them.
