The House Judiciary could be so much fun? Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., chairwoman of the subcommittee invited Stephen Colbert to attend the meeting and testify regarding migrant workers. Pelosi backs this move. However Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., chairman of the Judiciary Committee felt it inappropriate. Colbert is offering such insight as "This is America," Colbert continued. "I don't want a tomato picked by a Mexican. I want it picked by an American, then sliced by a Guatemalan and served by a Venezuelan in a spa where a Chilean gives me a Brazilian." Do you think this was an appropriate witness in this issue or a waste of time and money ($125,000 per hour)?

Of course waste and inappropriate are the words thay apply to anything traitor Pelosi backs. It's also great to have comedian Al Franken sit in the Congress. Appropriate? Right? If it weren't so sad, it would be laughable. I guess it's more like tragi-comedy.

In good times where the economy is doing well it might have been funny and entertaining. As it was-it was nothing but an insult and a slap in the face to those of us who are struggling just to put food on the table. Lofgren and Colbert are shameful for doing it.

I thought Elmo tesifying was bad enough. I thought that was a pretty big waste of tax dollars. This goes beyond bad, this is outright insulting. I think both he and the chairwoman who invited him to do this should be cited for contempt of congress. This is just rediculous.

I laughed my butt of at him. Most assuming Judiciary meeting I have seen in a long time. LOL.

The sad thing is that many Americans see Colbert and The Daily Show as official news sources. This just shows the contempt the "ruling class" has for everyday citizens. It is time for all incumbents to add to the unemployment numbers.

I agree - they also think they are well informed.
