Have you ever went camping in your own backyard before?

I think that I would not mind doing this one day. Just as long as I have a closed in fence in my yard. I think that this would be so much of fun. I have always wanted to go camping. And this a fun way to do so. I would feel so much more safer camping in my own backyard. After hearing all of the horror stories about camping in the woods, I really think twice about camping in the woods. Everyone says that camping is nothing to it. If I ever was to go camping, I would like to be supervised as I am at a camp. I would like to be at a camp that has about 6 guards that work day and night shift. I would like to go to camp that has over 100 men and women. I think that this would be so much of fun. What would be your fantasy of your own camping experience?

I have camped in our back yard before. Growing up, we always camped in our back yard. We lived out in the country on 50 acres with a woods and all. It could be a little scary. Now I would rather be out there in the middle of no where camping then around people and camping. Last time we were camping, we had a few things stollen from our site. They were things that were inside and that makes me feel very uncomfortable to go again.

Hi. rose1717. I don't blame you for not wanting to go back camping again. I wouldn't want to either after having my things stolen too. That is a shame that your items were stolen while you was camping in your own backyard.

I would love to have all the new gadgets and have a big burly man that knows all the ins and outs of camping. We would get up early and fish for breakfast. I love fish cooked on an open fire. Also, potatoes and such too. I went to a church camp with my cousins once but that was all. Don't remember much about it.

Oh my yes. We have had parties and had so many people here on the property and we camped in the back yard. It is fun. The grandchildren even do this often in the summer months.

Hi Cream, When I was a kid, I spent many a night camping in our back yard. I remember being about 12 or so and building a tree fort and sleeping in that all night. It was just a little into the woods behind our house. As a teen, my friends and I would camp in my backyard and we had so so much fun and created so many memories. Of course we got little sleep and didn't always stay in the tent! As an adult, I have camped plenty. One summer when all my girls were small, we spent the entire summer in a tent in the woods. It was a very humbling experience. I have a lot of great memories from that summer but there were also many nights that I wished we could be anywhere but there. I don't regret the experience but I would not want to repeat it either!

I've never gone camping. Though my kids & hubby have gone outside in our back yard. I dunno I don't like the idea of going w/o my conviences you know indoor plumbing, a matress to sleep on... He tried it a time or two this summer and the kids bailed on him. The kids and hubby were all in the house by 11pm *LOL*

hi cream oh camping is fun if you are in a cabin and not sleeping on a blanket on the ground on top of a tree root, and it does not start to rain. or the joys of the rustling in the woods as you lie there and hope its just a deer not a big gigantic bear. oh no just let me have a cabin and I can rave with the rest about the sweet clean air the absence of traffic noise etc etc etc,We did that in the Yellowstone aNd it was so much fun too, even the baby bear who got up onto the porch and ran off with a package of bacon. You s ee I do not like bugs, snakes and spiders and the occasional bear. but to see a herd of deer at dawn makes it all so worthwhile.

Yes, I've gone camping in my own yard before. Or at least I tried to. With there being so many different noises throughout the night it made it rather difficult to sleep. My husband, kids, and I wound up leaving the "campground" and went into the house to sleep instead. LOL Happy mylotting!

I have never gone camping in my own back yard, though I admit it would be fun. I have let the kids go camping in the back yard many times, and they really enjoyed it. I think that might be something the kids can do this summer. I have never heard any horror stories of camping in the woods, but when we go camping we usually go to a park...or most of the time it is a state park.

When i was alot younger i use to love sleeping in a tent in the back garden, with a few of my friends. However the night that we stayed in the tent we did not get much sleep as we were talking all night, rather than getting the sleep that we all needed.

I also try it when i was a child. I enjoy having camping on my small tent maid in bedding. Me and my cousins is discussing so many stories inside that tent. My mom sending us cookies and meals. We cannot have our camping now in our backyard because we are big persons now and our backyard is a small lot only.
