I heard this question asked in a film. " Would you choose G-d over truth?" And I thought I ask you. Me? I see G-d As truth. So there is no choice to be made. I guess many Have to choose, especially if they are into science I suppose. But not me. I never was into science. how about you. would you choose G-d Over truth?

What they mean is would you choose to believe in god even if you found out that there is another explanation that proves that god didn't cause a certain event to happen even though you thought god caused it before hand.

Yes. For example. Scientists are finding out many , many different things . Some May explain the Miracles written about in the Bible. So would you choose your belief in G-d or the " truth"? Me/ I see G-d As truth and it is ok that the ascientists are finding out how G-d did things.

Scientist did found out how lighting works. Lighting is caused by the electrical charges between the clouds and earth as oppose to a god throwing lighting bolts. Scientist didn't find god or how god caused things. Scientist found explanations did not involve a god. Try researching it.

I believe that God is the truth, and I believe that science proves this, contrary to what many people say. I'm an avid Christian, and I think that the Bible's accounts do not conflict with science. But rather, science shows that it is very much possible. Take the Creation, for instance. The Bible said that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth (the Universe.) Then, He commanded the light to show, followed by formation of divisions in the expanses of the skies, then divisions in the earth, followed by vegetation, then formation of heavenly bodies, sky/sea animals, then finally land animals. Do note, that the Hebrew word for day is yom. This is synonymous for several words, and could either mean a single day or a long period of time (strongsnumbers.com). Therefore the "day" in Genesis could refer to a very, very, very long period of time. How do I think science supports this account? [Day 1] The Bang Bang theory, which many Creationists refuse to believe, states that the universe was originally a collection of really hot and densely packed matter, which expanded over time. This heat energy emitted some form of radiation, which is a part of the light spectrum (Big bang). [Days 2-3] It is likely that as the energy, all spread out, started cohering to similar masses. Suspended particles eventually settled and formed planets, and on the earth, land formations. (Personal reasoning) [Day 4] Another theory, the Primordial Soup theory, could probably illustrate what happened in the second half. This states that originally, the land and the waters of earth were really radioactive, and could not support life as we know it today. However, this radioactive setting paved the way for the formation of life's earliest organic chemicals (Miller-Urey). In the volatile state, the carbon compounds came together to form the earliest organisms. At this time, the clouds that had formed over the earth had been too dense that the sunlight wouldn't yet reach the surface. So, the first organisms were autotrophic, non-photosynthetic algae, which very much resemble plants in that they used CO2 for energy (Algae that saved the planet). [Day 5-6] However, eventually the clouds did clear and sunlight soon reached earth. This caused the bacteria to develop photosynthetic qualities and clump together to form what we know of as today's plants. Other organic materials found in the seas turned then into sea creatures, amphibians and reptiles, which are known ancestors of birds. Finally, these organisms evolved into what we know of as land mammals, a group which includes humans as we know them (Lagunzad). In researching however, I did see a few news articles that said scientists are beginning to question these theories and proposing new ones. Wherever things may go, I believe that although science's theories are constantly changing, the Bible's truths stay the same. I don't think that Science can disprove the truths of God. We just need to look carefully. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_bang en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miller-Urey_experiment strongsnumbers.com/hebrew/3117.htm wn.com/The_Algae_That_Saved_The_Planet Cain, Campbell et al. Thanks but I could care less if science proves or disproves the Bible or not. I always thought bot could go together. I don't care about science. So if my religion conflicts with it , that's fine. Let's face it . I'm not curious about how things work . I'm glad you can and have put both together.

I forgot to mention that the primary component of organic substances is Carbon, which in its raw form, was very dusty. This was scattered about during the big bang, and this was necessary for the formation of life (Carbon). Do note that the Bible says that organisms were made from dust. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon

For me too, God is truth. The Creator, is “the God of truth.” His word is truth; he cannot lie, and he condemns lying and liars.—Psalm 31:5; John 17:17; Titus 1:2. So the God of truth cannot be wrong. Humans may be in error or fall short of truth, but never is that the case with God. At the start of mankind’s history, everything was based on truth. There was no twisting of facts, no manipulation or misrepresentation of the truth. But of course, things have changed now.

That's nothing new. Lies told as truth has been happening since man learn to speak.

I have to agree with you, God is truth. God is the truth. If you don't mind me asking, what was the film?

God is truth like you say. That means truth with all things. There really isn't a conflict with science. Since religions are all created by mankind, there might be some conflict there. Religion will not correct their errors. This is the problem where truth is involved. Maybe the question should be: Would you choose your religion over God? Or maybe would you choose your religion over truth?? I think many have already made that choice.

That was the question. And yes many do choose their religion over the truth science is finding. I see G-d as the truth in science and everything . But I Know there are many truths out there. A devout religious' person's truth is far different than a scientist's.

I think it is faith that makes God also the truth. And I'd like to think that I have a little faith to not know the difference. I'm not saying that I'm all 'goody-goody-and-stuff', but I think I won't be steered falsely if I have a little faith.

As you say G-d is truth and therefore there is no choice to make. Proven science has not said anything that is incompatible with G-d. Psalm 119:160 (New International Version) All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.
