The verse is clear, and need no more explaination, and the statement was spoken by Jesus Christ. Let us read it in the book of John 8:47 "He that is of God heareth God's word: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God". Can I hear from you my fellows, what is your personal view about the verse?

John 8:47 (New International Version)"He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God." There is no need for interpretation. It is clear enough!

Why does everyone big on religion believe everything they read from their holy books? Can't at least one of the things being said in the books be wrong?

No, I did not found any one wrong word that coming from God in the Bible, except those verses that are not truly included in original manuscript, only added by the translators.

Why do you think they are true, because they are in the bible??? What if you found out one day that every single thing in the bible was a lie and made up by people along time ago, or even that a couple of the things that you believed were true were lies? Just because there are some fancy words in a fancy book doesn't mean that they are right or true. I could right down something, but that doesn't mean that it is right or true...

It's even you can prove it, tell it here what lie you have found in the bible, except those prophecy that were not yet fulfill. I believe the Bible because its truthfullness content, whoever wrote it, whether he is scavenger nor whatever you want to call, and even you, if you are telling the truth I will believe you.

There are some people who don't understand that just because God created all of us doesn't mean that we're all His children. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father. The rest of us who are His children were adopted into His family, and there are those who don't want to be adopted into God's family. Romans 8:14-16 "...because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship (adoption). And by Him we cry, 'Abba, Father,' The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children." I John 3:7-10 explains the difference in the children of God and the children of the devil.

This piece uses the term, "hear", which directly pushes the direction of something that you can actually hear, out loud. The only people, nowadays at least, that actually, literally Hear the words of "God", are defined as having mental problems and instability... and usually put on medications for psychosis. I'll personally take the literal meaning of this, that we as humans, are not of God, because, to be of God, by this definition, one would have to be mentally ill.

In Proverbs 12:8 it says "A man is praised according to his wisdom, but men with warped minds are despise." And in chapter 14:2 also it says "He whose walk is upright fears the Lord, but he whose ways are devious despises him"

Simply because you do not hear God's words does not mean you are not of God. We are all spiritual beings in our true nature. We are children of God regardless of any beliefs or actions. This is unconditional. God is Unconditional Love!!! If God can create universes, what are a few wayward children. God is beyond the petty things of mankind. God won't fry or destroy His children. God will just send more lessons. To avoid the really hard lessons, let's make great choices that love and helps others.

I think it's not regardless of any belief, the truth is that our belief must be within God's prerogative, you know why? Because God does not acknowledge or recognise if your belief is out of his will, let's read it in Matthew 7:21 "Not every one that said unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

Unlike some religions and some religious people who attempt to force feed God's wisdom and knowledge on to non believers. God himself will not do this He did not and will not force anyone to believe in Him. What this verse says to me is that God's wisdom and knowledge are offered freely to the believer and non believer alike. Those who turn a "deaf" ear to his teachings or reject Him outright cannot be of God because they either turned away from Him or don't even believe he exists. How can anyone hope to gain any knowledge or wisdom from God when His words according to non believers are just that, words!
