22% of taxes taken out of my pay check!

Yes, here is where I am going to give you a quick rant about about just how much is taken out in taxes, social security, medicare, and so on.. from my bi-weekly pay check at my main job. It just makes me sick. All in all, I figured that they took out 22% (when I did the math) in taxes and all that. Almost would drive a person to work under the table, wouldn't it? Anyway, it makes me a little sad, just because the harder I work my butt off (to make a few extra hundred dollars a pay check), essentially the less I am making. And yes, I claim zero and will hopefully get some of my taxes back during the next tax season. But still! Do you think about this at all? Does it make you want to be a total anarchist and abolish this crazy government system? LOL. How much in total (if you're weird and have ever done the math like me..) do they take out of yours? And is it a ridiculously crazy amount, too?

I also get frustrated with all the taxes garnished from my paycheck! So frustrated that I am actually looking at states where the tax isn't that much. Last week I got a call from somebody offering a job in Texas. The guy on the other line said everything was cheap there, and there was no income tax. I haven't done the research, but it would be nice to be in a place where you don't get taxed so much.

I think I am complaining over nothing though.. pretty sure Minnesota can't be that high on the list for taxes.. Can it? That would be sweet. I'm getting to the point where I'm realizing that the harder I work, the less I make, essentially. Which pisses me off (but welcome to the real world, right?) Texas might be a good change of pace. One of my friends just moved down there for a job offering and it seems to be going well. I should ask about their taxes. lol

Oh shut up. Here you pay somewhere in the range of 33.45% and 52% on income tax alone. Then there is VAT ( value added tax). 19% on most products. Did I mention excise? Gamble tax.... and 10's of more taxes... and you can't get most of these taxes back... Thought it was lovely to live in a socialistic state? I hope not, because your bubble would be burst by now. :)

22% eh...Last time I did the math, they took about 34% from mine. Mind you I am grateful for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, that are there to protect and serve me, and help keep the streets safe. I am grateful, I get a say in who runs my country, and what they do there. I am grateful for the Fire Department, 911, and nice roads to drive on. I am grateful, for the security provided by the Military, and many other things that my tax dollars go to. I am happy about where all my tax dollars go, not at all, but I do have a small say in that, and with a strong determination, and a lot of effort I could, if I had the passion to, make that a very big say. I am also happy for the tax breaks I get being in network marketing. Sincerely and With Appreciation. Chysom.

And did I mention, when I start to make more money...the tax rate increases, and like the other lady below, we have sales tax, and well the list does go on. It isn't as bad here as there though.
