If you took all the DNA in your body and you...

If you took all the DNA in your body and you stretched it, it would reach the moon and back about 3000 times. Have you heard this? What do you make of this?

Explains a lot, doesn't it? We're all tightly coiled. Reminds me of intestines, we have miles of them in our body. Just so we can take in a little nutrition at a time through the walls and yet conduct the garbage out where it needs to go. DNA has to do with so many things in the human body, it's not surprising.

I've been doing some reading on the DNA and it's mind-boggling. I will make more posts as I find the most fascinating information.

I doubt even Mr. Fantastic could stretch that far! Unraveling the mysteries of the DNA is Science at it's best. The DNA is truly fascinating. Does it not prove an intelligent designer? Could it have developed accidentally?

I wonder if this procedure would stretch out all the wrinkles in my face..?? On a serious note, I had no idea about this - But it is another proof about a Great Designer - "Coincidence & Evolution Ltd" could not have made the DNA!!

Psalm 139:13-16 (Young's Literal Translation) 13For Thou -- Thou hast possessed my reins, Thou dost cover me in my mother's belly. 14I confess Thee, because that [with] wonders I have been distinguished. Wonderful [are] Thy works, And my soul is knowing [it] well. 15My substance was not hid from Thee, When I was made in secret, Curiously wrought in the lower part of earth. 16Mine unformed substance Thine eyes saw, And on Thy book all of them are written, The days they were formed -- And not one among them. The DNA is a "book" of detailed instructions programmed to build a living human body with all the diverse organs, each one a masterpiece. Truly awe-inspiring!

It is too wonderful to take in for our limited understanding - no wonder this scientist I read about earlier, had to abandon the evolution and admit there must be a very wise Creator.

Makes me wonder, how wonderfully we are made! Takes a lot just to study a single strand of DNA and imagine all of that! Well something beyond human ability to create huh?

There's no way the DNA was an accident. There was a highly intelligent designer behind it. No doubt in my mind.

Yes, I learned something new today. I knew the intestines stretched for a huge distance. But I never thought of the DNA.

I have been reading some information on the DNA and it is very fascinating. It is just mind-boggling what scientists are discovering or uncovering. The length was one of the thing that blew my mind.

DNA exists as an invisibly thin strand in a tangled knot in the cells of the body. If straightened out, the DNA from each cell would be 2 metres long. That's more than six feet of it inside a cell invisible to the human eye! The DNA from all the cells in the human body would stretch to the sun and back 500 times. That is more than 45,000,000,000 miles of DNA! http://www.northants.police.uk/default.aspx?id=680
