Have you ever filled out a diary about your TV viewing for the Niesen TV ratings? I just got a notification they will be sending a diary. I seem to get one every year. I don't mind filling them out as there is usually some kind of monetary reward for doing so.

I did one about 13 years ago, the only thing I was sent for it was a $1 bill in the mail, I was surprised they would actually mail money in the mail. I filled it out fully with everything we watched in the main room, was surpried I never got anything else from them. I did enjoy it and would do it again, even if it was only for a buck, it was fun being a part of what's determined in staying on tv. Have fun, hope you get more than a $1.

I have done several of these over the years, and ususally it is a 30.00 reward. My last was back in January. It was a bad week for TV, so I had to fill out a bunch of....I would usually watch, but a special was on instead.

I think that must have been atypo. I have never heard of anyone getting more than a 5.00 reward for doing the surveys. The awards are usually between one and three dollars. Doing the diary is not difficult you just have to remeber to mail it back.

Nope, not a typo. When I did the Nielsen last, with it was a $20 and a $10. It was for a two week period, and I had to fill it out for everyone in the family, for all of the TV's.

I have several times and enjoy getting the money. I'm surprised that somebody only received $1 and I would have turned it down. Its a lot of work writing down what everybody watches in my house.

I've never gotten one, but I'd like to. I'd like for the shows that I watch to be counted in the ratings. My sister and brother-in-law get one. They fill it out, and of course the monetary compensation is a plus, even if it isn't much.

The last one I got was over 20yrs ago. I do other things on the 'puter for Neilson so I'm surprised I don't get them unless some of their screener surveys determine whether one is sent to certain people.
