Miracles and Visions Experienced by Christians

I am not religious, but I am curious. Miracles and visions are prone to Catholic. A Catholic believer gave me the picture of Padre Pio that had stigmata with his both hands from Jesus Christ-- it is a miracle from Padre Pio and he's also seen a vision of Jesus Christ and even the doctors said that the blood was indeed from human. I have also encountered one of the member of Latter-Day Saints. She told me that one of the member of Latter-Day Saints encountered miracles. He was stabbed with a knife, but he did not die. No blood. No wounds. She told me that the guy-- one of the member of Latter-Day Saints saw an angel during that day. So, how about other religions? Do they also have miracles and visions? I grew up with a family that are very religious and a devoted Catholic-- and my mother always speak about "miracles and visions" that are only happen from Catholic-- or they just "imagining things" that is why they thought they seen a vision of Jesus Christ or an angel or what?

These days, there are a lot of things going that can deceive people. The devil which is satan can transform himself into an angel of light as mentioned in the Bible. If we don't know what the Bible says, we will be deceived. That is why it is very important for us to read our Bible and learn. Attend a Bible preaching Church who teaches the Bible without compromise and learn. Visions are not present these days when the Bible is complete. Miracles do happen but not the way you've mentioned. I believe in miracles - the Bible way.

With the last of the Prophets the Lord stopped speaking directly to Humans. That was the end of very obvious miracles. The miracles of the catholics usually surround their personal gods of Jesus and Mary which have nothing to do with other religions. They receive the stigmata of the wounds of their Jesus on hands and feet. Mary makes promises of world peace if everyone says the rosary, that never happens.

Miracles and Visions are products of religious Faith. (Faith as defined by my online dictionary) - belief that is not substantiated by proof or fact.- Faith is a substantial component of a religious belief system which cannot be substantiated by fact. The Catholic Church is famous for spiritual visions, healings, and other supernatural events which are used by the Church to encourage tithing, and other contributions to the Church coffers. Its all about Money!

Well actually anyone can see visions regardless if they have a religion or relationship. First question, where did you hear catholics are prone to this? Now when the early church divided, yeah most were Roman Catholic, but today there are so many different denominations, that I find it hard to believe that Catholics see visions more than anyone. I do have a friend who a few times has seen angels, and no they are not the cutesy little things you see in stores, they a re massive and majestic. As for miracles, that happens all the time unless you are speaking about creative and fast healing miracles. The birth of a baby is a miracle in itself. I have known some people who have had healing miracles. I have just seen a creative miracles, but heard they are happening and becoming more common. That is something I'd love to witness..;)

I heard it from my mother. She's always the one telling us about "miracles and visions"-- she told us about the miracle of a "Three Fatima Children"-- She told us about Saint Bernadette-- about the visionary of "Vanessa"-- and there is so much more, well, I think that is the way of her thinking because she is very religious devout Catholic believer.

Hi IntrovertShy, There are many things that happen but can't be explained and it happens in all religions and even outside of religion. Some of it may only be imagination, I do not know. I am more willing to accept anything that has a purpose, such as a dream or a vision, where a departed loved one warns someone not to travel on a plane on a certain day and the plane crashes. There appears to have been cures at Roman Catholic Shrines and also in Christian Science, although we don't hear as much about it anymore. Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science was a very spiritual person and a great Christian who herself cured hundreds of people. I don't think it has a lot to do with any particular religion but with people who have discovered something that most of us never do. There are also some who are said to be able to cure the sick through the laying on of hands and often the person is born with that ability. It is also likely that blind faith works for some people because the mind is very powerful. Blessings.

Nino-- there are really lots of miracles that I have watched on TV news-- and I didn't know if it came from Lucifer or it came from God because there are lots of miracles going on here in the Philippines.

No one can see Jesus Christ face for if? they die...Jesus our Lord is holy..and his face is surrounded with light full of glory.. Miracles is felt also by those who believe and has a strong faith in GOD... miracles happen in GOD'S TIME..

Not only Christians but of the popular and very ancient popular Religions has the knowledge and science of spirituality has a term for mysticisms. Nobody can not understand those things if you are not spiritual. Only with those has a multidimensional awareness and consciousness of spiritualities can understand those mysticisms.
