Do you like to write on something like Twitter?

It is bad that I can't join Twitter because it is blocked here. Lately my colleagues like to write on a website which is similar with Twitter. Then I joined it and I started to write a few lines since yesterday. I still feel it is bad because I can't exchange my ideas with more people in Twitter.

youless, Twitter like Facebook, Orkut, MySpace, or even QQSpace is a social networking site where it is basically a networking tool to keep your relations updated with whatever is happening to you. I know it can be treated like a personal diary, but I think prudence will tell us not to do it. However, as I cannot be the speaking authority - you will have to decide for yourself how and what you would want to disclose on the pages. All I can say is that if you are uncomfortable with being public then don't. You can always set it to private and exclusive where you may be deemed anti social at the end of the day. I would advocate that you should start with yourself as to how you would want this tool to be disclosed. Like me, I would just share this with my own family members only - where I feel that they have every right to know how, what and where I am and doing - instead of being asked repeatedly. You will need to consider for yourself how you want to proceed and use these useful online tools. But, I must stress the need to consider your personal security as priority in these sites at all times. You do not need to write your whole biography for the world to read if you are uncomfortable. Just for your info, QQSpace is accessible worldwide, so you do not need to be discouraged for being unable to access other social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter in your country. Take care and have a nice day.

I don't like QQSpace very much because I am not interested in QQ. Now the mini blog is much more popular than the blog. This is why I joined Sina's mini blog because my colleagues told me that so far it is the most popular in my country. I have a blog about DIY cooking in Poco.cn and you can see quite a lot of professional recipes there.

youless, I can understand your opinion and decision with QQ. Like the majority of the serious bloggers in your country who are quite opinionated about QQ, I have to say that I am opened and understanding here. I am really glad to know that you are one of the contributors in Poco and just hope to see your specialties which could improve my collections.

hi youless really for me I have all I can do with mylot and facebook and right now I am concentrating on mylot and my earnings. I have never been on twitter but its terrible that they cut some countries out on any web site. that to me is discrimination.

It has nothing to do with Twitter. Our government is very stupid to block it.

I'd rather have cool discussions in mylot rather than spend time waiting for people to respond to me in tweeter. since most people in my experience, only post links, pictures and other stuff.

I have a twitter account but I don't really post everything on twitter. I post something maybe once per week..lol .. Because I prefer posting my ideas on facebook =P I just can't imagine why some of my friends can chat through twitter... However, twitter is a good and simple platform to get information updated as most of the people even celebrities have them =)

I am a member of twitter but doesn't go there as much as I am here. I don't see anything extraordinary in that site. I don't even know why I joined twitter in the first place.
