Do you still use a pencil?

As an article writer I sometimes use a pencil and sometimes a pen. When researching a new article I always write things down in my note book first before I ever type it into my word processor.

I still use a pencil because i like to doddles whenever i see a paper laying around. And i like the smell of a pencil, reminds me of my school days

yes i do... every now and then... even though i didn't use it as often as before... i still prefer to use pen though as much as i can... i find it neater to write with pen compare to pencil... take care and have a nice day...

I mainly only use a pencil when i can't find a pen to write with.... if i'm writing that is. If i'm drawing a picture i will always use a pencil as its easy to rub out any mistakes then. In exams we have to use a pen of a certain colour, if we don't then our exams won't be marked and we won't get a result... that was when i was at school though 8 years ago

Yes, at times, I still use pencil. It doesn't happen often, but there are times when I actually do use a pencil. It's definitely something that I like using.

In school i always had to use a pencil, especially for tests. Seldom were we allowed to write in ink. I still like to write with a pencil. it certainly makes erasing mistakes so much easier.

Yes, I still use a pencil almost every day. I tend to do crosswords with a pencil and often take notes with a pencil. It always works, unlike a ballpoint or inkpen, and it if doesn't I merely have to sharpent the point. Easy, cheap and convenient. _Derek

I love pencils!! I don't like to write with pencil, but I use it a lot when I read a book A and want to highlight good thoughts etc. And one more thing I like about pencils is when it is sharpened. I just love sharpened pencils!

hello, yes I still use a pencil even at work since I mechanical designer some of the drawings are still done in pencil when making corrections it has be done in pencil. I still like to draw with a pencil too. Thanks and have a great day Sincerely Unique16

I'm more comfortable writing down my thoughts through the use of a computer but a pencil is still of great help to me when I sit down and work on some drawings. So till now, I couldn't do away yet with pencils. At work, when I need to work on number, a pencil is what I badly need. It is to check on the data and erase the marks afterward. So am I glad that pencils are still on store shelves and haven't been phased out :)

yah i still do since its essential on my course im taking up..and its still the best tool for writing cause you ca erase something you have written if you had mistake on your writing..=)

i really find a pencil so helpful too. when taking down some notes or whenever i make reviewers for my studies, i like to use pencil since i can easily erase my writings whenever i get wrong. sadly our professors doesnt allow pencils during exams because it might be cause of cheating

yeah, I do use pencil. its helpful, even though they can be erased, still they are useful. For me in making some notes sidings, and its a way not too expensive. In making some sketch too, to avoid undoing original works again and again. ^-^

Well I'm still in school and yes i still use a pencil. but since im still in school half my teachers wont even accept homework or tests that are written in pen. I do think that pens look better but yes the nice thing about the pencil is that you can erase and pens make you have to make your paper look bad or have to start all over again.My friend though uses a pencil for everything and all the teachers get mad at him because he messes up the paper alot with all the mess from scribbling stuff out.(O and by the way can some ppl send me a message with some tips about making money I'm new Thanks!)

Hello santosmarichris! I often use pencils though I use the ballpen more often. I have a good number of pencils on my work desk. I find it convenient especially when erasures can't be avoided. I also use pencils when I draw, which I do quite often.

I haven't used a pencil in years and I may not use a pencil for a long time. That said, I use a pen on a daily basis. The reason that I don't like using a pencil is because of the fact that I'm lefthanded and whenever I've written with a pencil my hand will drag across the paper and I will get a streak of lead across my hand and it never looked like I had a clean hand. I didn't like feeling like my hands were dirty so I started using roller ball ink pens, I can't use gel pens either.

You have guessed my thoughts! I use the pencil for the same reason: I can erase when I want. With these days of crisis, making saving of paper is a good thing. Instead of writing with a pen and throwing out paper, it's better to write with a pencil and save paper. Then I like the smoothness of a good pencil...

Oh yes I still use pencil until today actually too. I like using it better when I'm writing a note because it is so easy to erase any mistake and makes my notes very clean. I usually prefer to buy 2B pencil, because it's writing is clearer and sharper. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day
