Nowadays, gift vouchers have become more and more popular as a gift when we ran out of ideas of what to give on special occasions to friends or family members... Also, when we ran out of time and want something convenient as a gift without much hassle... By giving gift voucher, the recipient also can choose the gift that he/she likes so it won't be wasted... That's why I start to give gift vouchers as a gift nowadays for convenience and efficiency... How about you??? How many mylotters also give gift vouchers as a gift and what is the reason behind it??? Thanks in advance for responding... Take care and have a great day everybody...

I normally don't. But surprisingly, the only person who's asked for a gift voucher, or a gift card is my son. I gave him one from Wal-Mart on his last birthday, and he certainly enjoyed picking the gift for himself. Although I had to fork out a little bit more because what he wanted was over the price of the voucher/gift card.

I do use gift cards for gifts. I usually try to get one from a person's favorite place to shop. Last year I saved some money because for every $100 I spent at Sears I got a $20 gift card. That was a perfect way to buy my children gifts and still be able hand out gift cards to others too. I think it gives people a chance to get what they need or want too.

I have bought gift cards for grown nieces and nephews to enable them to get what they want rather than hoping they like what I might choose.

The only gift voucher that I have given to my sister was that of having a massage. As she is coming out for Christmas then I may treat her to that too. This year we have cut down drastically on gifts as the ecomony is bad and there are so many bills to be paid. So we are giving immediate family a hug and a kiss and have informed friends that gifts will only be given to chikdren. Then after dinner my family and I will fill food containers and distribute to the local homeless in our area and try to give them a care bag too.
