I Reported Myself for Abuse!

Am I insane doing this? I typed a discussion and hit the start discussion button, but, when I read it again, I realized that the most important paragraph in the context of was missing. What i did was repost the discussion , this time i included the missing text. Then I reported it to admin hitting the (!) button which is for abused.
Then yesterday, I started another discussion. Instead of typing ILLICIT (FORBIDDEN) I typed ELICIT ( TO DRAW OUT, UNVEIL)... I was talking of course of an explicit affair with married couples by married couples. For the second time, I again hit (!) and ask for alteration this time...
I felt silly doing this but this is the only way I know to correct the mistake. It is a crazy thing and I felt ashamed bothering the Admin because of my silly mistakes...
But, good thing is, GoAskAlice sent a friend's request to me (of course so that she can PM me) but hey, it's a laurel in my head that she's amongst my friends here.

at least you are honest and try to correct your mistakes... it's OK... we are only humans and humans do make mistakes every now and then... the fact that you are being honest and reported yourself show that you are a good person and you didn't make the mistake intentionally... take care and have a nice day...

I was just embarrassed to see some mistakes as the result of my carelessness. I think faster than I type, perhaps, that I didn't have the chance to browse if i did put the right word or spelling. Still, sometimes, even reviewing my post and then, hitting the submit button after, that's the only time I'd realize that I had use a word by mistake or mispelled it or my grammar is incorrect..

There is a way to request corrections, but I always have to search for it.
Actually I did report myself because I posted in an emotional rage. The next day I pushed the button, apologized, and asked to delete the discussion, that fortunately did not have any responders.

I was also advised by GAA to start a new one with the same theme and the original be deleted but I just couldn't do it, that discussion had respondents already. Their efforts will be useless and they will not gain anything from it if I have it deleted...
I'd rather accept the consequence of being laughed at because of misused of word than pass also the burden to my respondents....
I've learned my lessons, though...

There's been a few times, I've wished there was an edit button after posting, but then again I guess maybe someone might change their words after writing them (because their opinion caught some flak or something) and that could get very confusing!

No need to worry for that. Being honest sometimes means that you have to put yourself on that situation. What is important is that you admitted your mistake by reporting yourself and surely, the admin saw your good intention on doing that. Continue being honest and surely, you'll go a long way. You are a really unique person as many people who work jobs don't have this much integrity. At least you are getting better on a daily basis, and whenever you feel like doing better you now have a goal . It will be good to know a friend on Mylot is doing everything in her means to do the community benefit. You are doing such a great service for us, and I will never forget the conversation you brought up. Well, work hard and lets make payouts this month. God bless you.
