To all my mylot friends my daughter is having a baby boy in February and she has picked some names but I'm not really fond of. Her picks so far is Jaxon Eli or Caleb. Eli would be the middle name and I like only that name. Any good names with a wonderful meaning that you could come up with would be of great help. She wants the name to be unique. Thanks in advance for your help and have a great day!

Congraulations to you to. Girls are so adorable. I have a 4 year old granddaughter already. As for the name pick you are right they will end up picking what they want. I like the name Andee, because its different. Good luck to your daughter or daughter-in-law.

If we would have had a boy we were going to name him Jackson I am not sure the actually meaning of it but it was my husbands grandfathers nickname for him, or the name he would call him. I know there is a neighborhood with the name Obadiah I have never head that one before. The kids call him Obie. To me it was important to have a usual spelling so people would be able to say the names correctly. I would say be careful of names from movies as they do become popular and more usual. I named my daughter Madison not knowing what a very popular name it was but it really does fit her so no regrets here. I hope she is able to come up with the perfect name for her little man.

Well she is leaning towards Jaxon sounding like Jackson. She wants the spelling to be different. She told me the meaning but I forgot it. I think seriously a name should be given once you see the baby. Then is when you can see what name fits him the best. Thanks you so much for your response and have a great weekend.

It is funny we had names picked out and I always said we would name her Madison and call her Maddy well after getting to know my daughter she is a Madison 100% and not a Maddy at all. I can't stand if people call her that. It is funny my sister and I both go by our nicknames and my husbands mother picked names that couldn't have nicknames. It is funny what different people take in to consideration when naming their children. All we can hope is that when they grow up they like the names we have picked for them.

Tell her to look through the Bible. There are some wonderful names there, names that people don't think of. All the names she has picked are very popular here in the States. A few that aren't are Luke, Silas, Azariah, Achim, Akan, Malcham and Razan. Those are just a few that I found and liked at biblical-baby-names dot com.

Theses names are definitely different. I do like Luke and Silas the others not so much. However, I will definitely tell her t go to that site or to look in the bible. Thanks for your idea. Have a wonderful weekend.

Now let me see, but first many congratulations to you(and of course your daughter). My taste is kind of old fashioned. Ainsley, Ryan (my youngest son's name) Jordan, Ethan, Matthew, Adrian, Jack, Tomas, Andrew, Too boring probably I do love Eli and Elijah too.

I love the name Jordan, Ethan and Adrian. None of them are boring to me but my daughter is looking for different with a good meaning. I have to suggest to her Jordan Eli, I love the way that sounds. I have to see what Jordan means first. Thank you so much for your input. Once the baby comes in February I will let you all know what she decided. Have a great weekend.

Heyya Lelin! Congrat on the upcoming addition to the family. Being a grandmother...I think that that allows you to call him whatever you like anyway..lol...I give my girls rather unique names but my son..well...he got a pretty common one...his middle name is Blake...I liked that one especially and almost elected to call him that. His first name is Andrew. So...I like the names Blake, Tristen, Chase, and...hmm...I like the name Caleb too. I have a friend that named her son after his zodiac sign...Aries. Her other son she named Ever. I don't care for the name Ever but I thought Aries was pretty neat. The good thing about the name Eli is that it sounds good with almost any name as a middle. Good luck and take care.

Thank you so much. I to like the name of your son both Andrew and Blake. I will have to share these names with her and see what she says. If she ends up giving birth on Valentines day he will end up being an aquarius. I'm not liking that to much for a name - lol lol lol. As for Eli and I'm loving that name right now. Take care and have a great weekend!

I'm so happy to know that you have got a grant son. There are number of beautiful names for boys in my list. But problem is that I'm an Indian. Indian names are entirely different from foreign names. So I'm sure that you can't accept any Indian names. You can get some meaningful name from Holy Bible. Some meaningful names are in old testament.

Congratulations on the news your daughter is expecting a baby boy in February. It is lovely that she is going to give her baby son an unusual name. My sister called her sons Seth and Jude and you don't hear those names very often. When I was at school a boy in my class was called Mingus and that is the most unusual name that I have heard. In my teaching career I have seen some unusual boys names like River, Arun and Harinder. I think that Caleb is a wonderful sounding name. I think that Eli is usually a girl's name. Names like Jody or Kerry can be used for both genders. Your daughter is going to have a very enjoyable time deciding on her son's names.

Thank you so much. I love the names Seth and Jude. As for Eli I believe she got the name from the movie "The Book of Eli" which is a man's name in this movie. I like it because its different. Thanks for your response and have a great day.

Your daughter has chosen some beautiful names for her little boy. I love the names Nicholas, Christopher, and Donovan. I realize Nicholas and Christopher are not all that unique, but they are names with special meanings. I always thought the name Seth was a little unique.

We already have a Nicholas and Christopher in the family so I know thats a no no. However, I do like Seth but I have to run it by her and also see what it means. Thank you for your suggestions. Once she picks the name which I'm sure will be after she see the baby I will let everyone know what she decided. Have a great weekend.

Hi, In the first place, congratulation, you are going to be a grandmother soon. When I was pregnant last time, I was thinking what name to give to my son. Both me and my husband were looking for nice and simple name for our son. We searched online and they are plenty names there.but we have to choose few names that we like. You can always search online for your grandson 's name. They are lot of websites providing this free name service.

I actually really like the name Caleb and would consider that name if I was ever blessed with another child in my life. That said, I think that great names for babies are strong names. I think that she could take the Eli and make it Elijah and that would make a wonderful first name for her son. Or there is Jayson which is a more traditional name with a different spelling. The thing that stinks about trying to pick a unique name is that it will probably be popular in a couple of years.

You are so right about that. Thirty years ago I named my second daughter Jillian thinking it was different and I actually got the name from and actress named Ann Jillian. I just loved the name but it became quite popular while she was in school. Funny you should say that about changing it from Eli to Elijah I heard she is thinking about doing this. Thanks for your input and have a great day!

Hi Lelin and congratulations on your grandson. I would think twice about any name I would put on my child because I have a name that got poked fun of all my life and it drove me nuts. It made me tougher though. There are so many cute names these days. I hope you find the one that pleases both of you. I like Wade and Erik (instead of Eric).
