Yes, I very much enjoy reading books. I used to read all different kinds of novels before, especially when I am on travelling on long flights. But, these days, I feel more enjoyable and relaxing reading comedies than reading tragic stories.

I like to read but I don't read very fast and I hate to sit for a long time trying to concentrate on what I'm reading. I'll usually read a few pages or maybe a chapter, depending on what I'm reading, at a time. I do try to read a little everyday, though. I'm reading two books right now. One is a novel and the other is history. The novel is called THE DEVIL'S PUNCHBOWL by Greg Iles. I discovered him last year and I've been trying to catch up on all his books. He's a good writer. The history book is called PARTY OF THE PEOPLE: A HISTORY OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. I'll read just about anything I can learn something from. I read fiction just to escape for a little while.

The Secret Garden is a children's book. Which are my main types of books. If you like that, you'll want to read one of her other books, called A Little Princess. Although I like The Secret Garden, I like A Little Princess even more. You might also want to try Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, and her other books. The Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder. There are also the books by LM Montgomery. I like the Emily series the best, but her most famous book is Anne of Green Gables. These books were all written some time ago. A more recent book I read is called Unwind by Neal Shusterman. It's more of a teen novel, and it's very good but very disturbing too.

I like reading my Bible. I also enjoy reading books on science and technology, philosophy, nature, science fiction, mystery and politics. Isaac I simov is one of my favorite sci-fi writers. I also enjoyed reading mystery writers Hugh Pentecost, Ellis Peters, graphic Patricia Cornwell and "Richard" Francis the horse man.

I read the Secret Garden back in fourth grade, and I really loved it. It's technically classified as a children's book, but I happen to think that everyone should be able to read and enjoy children's books so I don't like that label. I would say it was a very spiritual coming of age story. A tad bit of mystery in the beginning when she's looking for the garden, and sort of a story of friendship, overcoming grief, reconnection, and redemption. It's one of my favorites, even though it's not typically the kind of book that I read. The kinds of books that I do read are typically high fantasy stories, the kind of fantasy that takes place in its own made-up world. Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, and The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle are all favorites of mine in that genre. I read other books from other genres, but I definitely love fantasy the most and within fantasy... high fantasy. I also enjoy Christian allegory high fantasy and urban fantasy. Some of my favorite books from that genre are the Circle Trilogy by Ted Dekker, The Legend of the Guardian-King series by Karen Hancock, The Dragon Keeper Chronicles by Donita K. Paul, The Auralia Thread by Jeffery Overstreets, and Dragons in our Midst and Oracles of Fire by Bryan Davis.
