I am a fast typist and type 92 words per minute. Sometimes I am way too fast and it get irritating if I make a mistake, as I find it slows me down and I like to type fast.
Because I also write a great deal it helps me to perfect. But I know what you mean as once I make one mistake I see I make other mistakes as well. So I always re read my comments as I do not like to send them with errors but we are human and I have seen some of posts with errors.

Hi gurl,
92 words per minute??!! That is some speed..!! I vary in the range of 50-55 words in a minute. Can you please help me in my speed?? My accuracy is also a bit of a problem. I learnt typing on my own using a software. Is that the right way to go about things??

The only way to build up speed is the more you type the faster you get. It is important to use both hands and right keyboard hand placement. Also in order to buidl up speed you cannot think about spelling and allow the hands and brain to be in sync. In other words do not type the words, for example if you are thinking of typing ice cream. You cannot think i c e...
You should look at the keyboard and when you type your words, let it flow as you are thinking. (ice cream)should be thought as a full word not letter by letter.
So at first with the right hand placement and typing out the words the more you do it the faster you get. I am also a fast talker so it helps me think fast as well.
Using software is actually the best route as it teaches you the proper fundamentals, whereas many learn on their own and type with two fingers, this is not good, but it seems to be okay for some.

Wow! amazing! really you are a great typist and i like to be as you but it is remain a dream that never come true. You know i am old enough to learn more on that field. when ever thier is pressure on you in the office or at the job then its hard to type.But when came to chating and other interesting things like mailing and developing some web data then its really easy to do that . Sometimes keyboard make the problems but over all the typing is much fine and easier for me.

Not too many problems typing, maybe a few typos. But when I get too tired, then it will be anybody's guess what I type. You would do well to make sure the keyboard is not causing unusual strain on your hands. That could escalate the timing.

In typing, i only use to fingers.One from the left and one from the right hand.
It is quite hard, but i was use to it since I have learned typing.So far I can type 35 words per minute.I am irritated to type if the keyboard that i am using is really hard to press.so that might be your problem.it is really irritating right?especially if you are ruushing out and you have to post something very important.i also suggest that do not wash your hand as soon as you finish the typing,because might be the problem is already with your fingers.i hope this helps.happy mylotting!

Yes exactly! you've got it because my keyboard is hard and sometimes i need to press it hard to write well.. And always washed my hands right after used or wash it when i need to washed dishes ans so on.. Thanks and have a nice day!

Though there are some times that I will drop letters while I am typing, other than that I really don't have a problem with my typing. While both of my siblings took typing classes while they were in school, I actually taught myself to type and I'm actually a better typer than either of them are. I don't know if my effectiveness has anything to do with the fact that I constantly work on the computer or if it is just because of the fact that I am a writer and I am constantly typing my writings onto the computer.

im not, actually that is one of my skills, i worked as an encoder in my previous job, so i can type faster as i can, why dont you try to practice your typing, or just play games that will improve your typing ability, sooner or later you can also improve it. actually i used typing games that to improve my typing ability like typing shark in yahoo games.try it and you will love it.

My fingers hurt, specially in the afternoon, thats my problem here my friend, and thats because of loads of paperworks, that is why i prefer lotting using my two thumbs are they are the one relax the end of the day.

When I switched from my desktop to my laptop, I started having problems with proper use on the keyboard. If I type, the correct way and proper hand placement, I mess up all the time! I have to hung =t and peck, because otherwise, I bump keys and erase my typing!!

I hate typing before but now i enjoy typing. My typing was very slow last time. I even not confidence to type infront of my fiend who can type very fast. I told myself that i want to improve in typing. With practising everyday. I can type very fast. I will say typing is my strength now and that why i enjoy typing,

It is funny that what you have problem with is what you are doing right now.. :) I think you are not alone here. Different people have different problems, but if you ask me then I will say that it is the hard work. If you do more hard work you will be good in your typing.
It always have fruitful results to work hard. I have my own issues but I have to solve them and then it is only answer. Thank you and have a nice day ahead. :)

There's a saying that goes, "Practice makes perfect". I believe if you spend more time practicing by, for example, chatting online or posting on mylot, then you'll get to type better as time goes by. It's not an instant overnight skill, it takes a while. I didn't learn how to type well that easily. I had to use the computer to do my assignments, send emails, chat with friends and family and write articles or whatever to hone my typing skills. :) I gained this typing skill over the course of time, probably like more than 2 years or so. Just keep on practicing mods, I'm sure you'll get to type faster and with ease in due time. Just be patient. :)

Like everyone else, I do have a problem typing.
I tend to overthink and think in advance which letter to key in
which leads to mispelled words. I dont think that the keyboard causes problems,
I think that typo's are human errors because we lack practice in typing or we
just are not 100% correct all the time. All we have to do is to type and type and type and type and type some more so practice our keystrokes and possibly perfect it.

Hi kods1296621, I have a little bit of problem when typing certain punctuation like :, " , , _ and - . Might be I seldom use them and therefore I couldn't remenber their actual position exactly I have to spare a little time to find out their actual position to avoid typing any of them wrongly. I don't have any problem in typing other keys on the keyboard

I had problems in typing last time, when I was in high school but gradually, I improved a lot and can now touch type. I know how it feels to drop some words frequently as you type but trust me, as you type more or chat with friend in MSN, your typing skills will improve with time. If you can, you may also utilize the mind power called visualization, in which you visualize every word that you are going to type, as you hear words being said out, be it in the news or from your friends. My typing skills were improved because of visualization

Hi Mods,
I do not have too much problem with my typing. The speed is quite reasonable I guess at 50 words per minute. I would like to type faster but that is all I can manage. Accuracy is not that great either. It is somewhere around 92-93%.My spelling is alright, I guess. However, since English is not my first language I am not good with the grammar part and often make mistakes. That is not a problem in mylot and thank GOD for that.

Yes, i too have problems in typing. I honestly can say that the way my fingers are positioned has problems that is why i type some words wrongly. I know where to put each finger but i have difficulties with a few letters. I am also a bit conscious with my spellings that is why i finish typing not too long but takes time..

hello mods!
i have no real problem with typing since i type really fast. Sometimes though i get typhos because of my keyboard and cursor. It keeps jumping from one area of the screen to another and sometimes i was typing so fast i realized belatedly that i was typing to the beginning of a paragraph when i was already in the middle of the page. Sometimes too, i type faster than i think that i interchange the letters when i type.
i had no formal education in typing but i learned through typing tutorials in the net and games like shark to develop this particular skill.
