Have you encountered any problem using the web search in mylot?

I have been using the web search in mylot since the day I signed in and never had problem until last week. I use the web search first if I need some information from the net and if mylot web search does not help much that is the time I will use google search. I do this because I can also earn a few cents from using the mylot web search. Lately, after a while of using the web search of mylot I have encountered some problems. I can no longer use the web search, when I start to search there is a pop-up message saying that "We have noticed some suspicious activity for this account. Please try your search again later". I don't know what I did to become suspicious, because as far as I know, I was just using their web search in a proper way. Has anybody encountered this kind of problem? Please tell me if I did anything wrong so I can correct my mistake. Thanks mylotters.

Personally i am using web search but not always.
Please be reminded to always read RULES and FAQ so that you can avoid your account being suspended.
You see that pop up message because you abused the mylot search engine.
As we may all know, myLot search engine will reward you for searching but any one caught abusing it will surely have warnings or instant suspend of their accounts.
It is best to contact myLot staffs with this kind of matter.

Oh my,I didn't know your account can be suspended if one abuses the search engine,good thing I don't do it because I'm aware of the rules of using it.

@chocobuko, I have been a member here for seven months and on my very first day I used it and got the message you received and I though impossible as this is the first time I used it and had absolutely no activity with it or myLot.
So I tried it again about 2 weeks later and received the same message, since then I have seen numerous discussions exactly of what you are mentioning. From my understanding no member will get suspended due to myLot searches.
I understand members simply wait a few hours and or next day and are able to use it with no problems.
So okay I tried it again 4 weeks ago, and mind you on the first attempt I get the message again. So I contacted Alex/admin and he did some tests with me and sent my information over to the developers to look at as Alex states it is a glitch and they will take a look.
Will I ever hear back, not sure but you can search the many discussions regarding this and view that no member gets suspended for actually using the search bar.

MyLot can only pay us for a search if they get paid for it. As it is much information can be obtained from free from the Internet. A clear example is Wikipedia. Therefore we should not expect to be paid for retrieving information which is freely available from the Internet. Sites which do not pay Yahoo search will also bring nothing to us.

ever read the information about the mylot web search that mylot put in their information? I just do not understand why so many new people come here and mylot tells you where to find their information and you do not even attempt to read it? in stead ask us? if the info you ask for is already answered in say the questions and answers mylot admins is likely to delete your discussion as you did not bother to hit mylot and read all they have for you.this pop up; for example is already explained in mylot info so go read it as you should have done that when you signed up. okay?

I've gotten that same message a few times. I don't really use the search feature a lot here on mylot and even if I do use it I only look for a few things. But I noticed that I usually get that message every time I try searching for a bunch of different topics in a short time span. I really don't know why it does this though. Maybe we're confusing it by searching for too many things at once. I couldn't tell you.

Oh Yes I HAVE! It has pissed me off big time! I also have encountered the problem that "Congradualations,you won a Mylot award" and I don't! All month I have had that problem! I never had that problem before and I was receiveing awards every few days for using the Mylot search engine! I have notified Myot about it twice! I also know other people have had the same problems as you and me! It is extremly annoying and I hope Mylot figures out to fix the probelm! I hope the more people write about this the more Mylot will notice and work to fix the problem!

So far, the only problems that I encountered is that the page can't display anything or I had to wait for a very long time but the search returned no results.

Never encountered a problem like that, I only use Mylot search whenever I plan to start a discussion to check if somebody already posted one similar to what I am thinking, so the answer is no
