The gifts have been wrapped and under the tree for the last two weeks. Everyone that I had to send gifts via the postoffice has been received by my family. I cleaned the house completely yesterday. I gave myself a pedicure and now have to just do a manicure and decide what I will be wearing for Christmas Eve. I know what I'm wearing for Christmas day. I will be baking an apple pie and pumpkin pie Friday. Otherwise I'm really ready. This has been my least stressful Christmas in my 54 years of living. I feel so bad for the people still going crazy out there because I know I have been there. Merry Christmas and Happy Healthy New Year!

Wow! You're really early! I'm glad I finished it on time this year. I've been so busy with schoolwork. I love pumpkin pie. Yum. We usually only have that at Thanksgiving though. Maybe I can come and have some of yours. Anyway, I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and safe New Year as well!

I am extremely ready for Christmas! I have all gifts wrapped up already, the house is all decorated, I got an awesome item for the pot luck, and I am in a the holiday mood. The only thing left to do is wait until Christmas comes. Most of my family members are coming over for a family gathering so it is going to be lots of fun. Happy Holidays! =)

For the pot luck, I am going to bring red velvet cookies. I home-baked them and they are delicious. I tried them for the first time about a month ago and after that I decided to make a batch for the Christmas potluck. Happy Holidays! :)

I'm DONE with Christmas. My family had ours back in November. Gifts made, wrapped, delivered and OPENED. I don't do my nails, or my hair tho I will WASH it... Honestly, for some strange reason, I'm just not much in the holiday mood. Now, the roomie still has some gift cards to pick up, but her pay day is Friday and we are going to get them then.

Wow! Christmas in November. Wait, did you celebrate Thanksgiving in October then? Wait, I don't know if you even celebrate Thanksgiving... That's good that you'll wash it! I wanted to get mine cut and my nails painted, so I thought why not do it. Have a healthy, happy and safe...break?

Oh no. I'm sorry to hear that. A bit belated hug, but it's better than nothing. I probably didn't see because I was studying for finals and such and haven't been on myLot in awhile. Ah. That makes sense now.

This is the first time ever that I have done nothing. I have been so sick for the last two wees that I have had no motivation. Because I am low on funds I planned on going out and buying my two kids their gift. As bad luck would have it I woke up with a migraine, which is now lingered to a bad headache so I am unable to move. I will try again tomorrow. Glad to hear you are so ready.

Aw, Marixa! I'm so happy for you! Good job shopping! I actually hate wrapping. I think it's worse than shopping. Whenever I wrap presents, it doesn't come out right. Glad to see that you are feeling better though. And that you're almost ready for Christmas. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and safe New Year!

Aw. I'm sorry to hear that. I hate being sick for the holidays. I hope you get better as soon as possible! And I bet your children understand that it's the thought that counts, not the gift. I wish you and your family a happy, healthy and safe holiday and a happy New Year!

I got up really, really early and took my medications and out the door I went. Even though my head was still sore, as I teared several times as it was painful, but I am done. Hooray!! I did really well too, as the sales were so great and I was able to not over spend but I am done my friend so now all I have to do is wrap them. I am still congested and not feeling so well, but my holidays will be complete. Merry Christmas my sweet friend and a blessed, Prosperous New Years to you and all loved ones!

You sound like me! My nails are done and hair is cut. I'm probably going to get burgundy highlights before New Years. But I don't know what to wear either. I always end up changing it the day of if I pick it out ahead of time. Have a happy, healthy and safe holiday and a happy New Year!

I have a few little wrapping chores. I am singing with a group tonight at a nursing home. We will travel on Christmas Eve. No glamor for me, but that is okay.My nails are all broken off. Too much baking and cleaning.

That sounds like fun! If Only I could sing well. Have fun! Oh no. Poor nails. Maybe they'll grow back by New Years and you can treat yourself to a manicure for all your hard work for Christmas.

I'm ready! The only thing left to do on my list is travel! lol My hubby and I need to pack tonight and then load up the car tomorrow morning and travel home for the holidays. I've actually had all my shopping and wrapping done for over a week now. We're still hitting up some of the sales for things of our own, but overall we're ready for the holidays. Can't wait. :-) Happy Holidays to you!

I know that this response is a little late, as Christmas is done and over. But I wanted to get in here because this discussion reminded me of my feelings just before Christmas. I really felt I wasn't ready for it. Yet, I went through it with both eyes wide open. And in a couple of days, I will know if I survived it.

Hi Stephanie Ann C: I usually don't do many preparations for my Christmas but I have prepared a special present for my brother. He has been very special to me this year and we have shared a lot of time together. I think I'll have dinner with him this night. I also think that I will do the usual thing: I'll go to my parent's house and enjoy the night with them. ALVARO

I'm happy to hear that you're all set for the big day. I have a feeling that there are a lot of people who envy you right now! LOL I don't know how many people aren't ready but I do hope I'm not alone!!! I got sick yesterday. Sick, like I haven't been sick in a long time. I'm not exactly sure what it is that I have but I'm pretty sure I caught it on a trip to Baltimore on Sunday to visit my son and best friend for the day. I won't go into details, I'll just say it hasn't been pleasant. It pretty much involves my entire body... digestive system, head, chest, etc. Blech! So, I'm not ready for Christmas. I had everything planned for each day leading up to Saturday. Because I've been sick, I haven't wanted to do much besides sleep. I feel like I was bitten by a tse-tse fly (those things that give you a sleeping sickness). I don't think I've EVER slept this much! Normally, when I get sick, it's hard to keep me in bed. People have almost had to sit on me to keep me in bed and resting so I'll get better. With this whatever it is, I haven't wanted to get out of bed. I get up to get something from the kitchen and look at the livingroom and diningroom, nowhere near ready for guests, and just sigh, then go back to bed. I know it sounds like the flu but I got a flu shot in October. It still could be the flu, a different strain than what the shot covered. I just haven't been this sick in a LONG time. I do feel a bit better today so I MAY be okay for Christmas but I'm soooooooooooo not ready! I might just call everyone and ask if they'd mind putting the celebration off for a week. Doing it next weekend shouldn't hurt anyone's feelings. If it does, I wouldn't want them here anyway. Now, what do I have to do? Well, hmmm... I have to clean my house and rearrange to put more seating in both the livingroom and diningroom, wrap most of the gifts I've bought, actually finish one gift (I make a lot of what I give), get the clothes I plan to wear ready (I just bought new pants that need to be hemmed, then ironed), bake the cakes and breads that I give away as gifts (I finished the cookies and candies, at least), and of course cook the grand meal but I don't normally start that until two days before Christmas anyway. OH! That would be today, wouldn't it?!?! Well, it's pie and cake day today, a.k.a. dessert day. I MAY have the energy later to bake them but I really think I should just postpone the celebration for another week to give me time to get well so I don't have a relapse. What a bad time to get sick, huh? I wish you the very best holiday season.

I am all ready for Christmas. I got all the presents I planned on getting the beginning of the month when I got my SSD check. I also went to Hallmark store and got some very nice cards and some ornaments as well for my granddaughter and her new family. I love that store. They had some very cute ornaments from Disney and their usual items. The cards are great and this year they had ones you could record a message on and Christmas story books too.

Well physically I am ready. Everything that needs to be done is in fact done. So there is really nothing else to do. The shopping was done a couple of months ago. I'm sure that there are some people who are rushing out today or maybe even tomorrow. Such is the nature. However given the fact that this entire year has gone so quickly, I can hardly believe it is Christmas. It just does not seem like it at all. Still when that happy day does come, things will change.
