Would you prefer a cure for gayness/lesbian in the future or acceptance?

homosexuality is not a disease therefore shouldnt be cured. i really wish people would be more accepting of others who are different to them...whether it be race, sexuality, religion, appearance or other things.

THEN WHAT IS?

Acceptance, absolutely acceptance. I think there should be a cure for intolerance.

A cure *laughs* That would indicate some kind of sickness, which clearly, being gay isn't any kind of sickness. It's like offering a short person a cure for being short! Being short is a part of who they are, just like being gay is. It's not a choice or a problem... it just is! Acceptance for gays and short people are the way to go I say!

I had a short friend that got "cured". She took growth hormones before she stopped growing so that she'd be a few inches taller. They also do surgeries involving plates on the bones and stuff for little people (much shorter than my friend, she was like 4'10" or so). But I'd have to agree, you can't cure something that isn't a disease. Being gay is perfectly natural.

Homosexuality is not something that needs a cure. Ignorance, hatred, bigotry and racism do need cured.

Oh my Goddess.... what I'm reading today.... a cure for gays and lesbians.... why? You have to cure people who are ill, but gays and lesbians.... what kind of illness they have? Maybe the illness of living according to his/her own soul? I don't know if there is a cure for gays and lesbians, but I think we should find a cure for people saying things like this....

It seems to be biological so I doubt there will be a cure anytime soon. Ask them what they think, I can' answer for them but as far as their lifestyle...then.....Does it stop people from being gay to deny them a ceremony and certain rights afforded to straight couples? Does it hurt anyone for them to have the same privilages as straight people? Does it cost more for a gay persons partner to be on their insurance or inherit their estate? What does it matter to anyone else? Let them be. They don't hurt you or me.

Since it isn't a disease then I don't think there could be a cure...I think acceptance is what I would prefer to happen.

How can cure? There is nothing to cure. They are not sick. It's just how they are. Someone loves males, someone females. Sometime a man love women, sometime a man love men, sometime both. Nothing special.
