Sugar consumption boost your risk for tooth decay in the form of dental caries, the wearing down of tooth enamel caused by bacteria that morph sugars into acids. Muggy, high-sugar foods, such as caramel, are some of the bad offenders for dental caries, because they stick to teeth and feed bacteria. Bacteria also use sugars to make plaque, which adheres the bacteria to teeth and lessen saliva’s acid-neutralizing effects.

Hello muktha and welcome to myLot. There are some bed side affect of consuming too much sugar. The sugar in one can or bottle of soda will lower your immune system leaving you vulnerable to catching any illness that you come in contact with for 24 hours after consuming it. Refined sugar is in almost every processed food available on the market. It can play havoc with your weight and hormones. It can cause you to be extra tire, increase hyperactivity, plus cause tooth decay. I think I'm lucky because I don't like any thing very sweet.
