Chinese New Year is coming after christmas and new year. I have been very hardworking at home these days. Its been a month already and I have RM100 in my bank account. I want to buy some clothes for the festival. Do you think I should or should I pay my debit card annual fees and internet connection instead?

what is debit card annual fee? My father has mine, so i don't know? But if you can live without internet, Go for shopping! Cous i guess you've been saving for that only!! Enjoy your festival the way you wished to. leave the tensions for later. :p

oh...debit card annual fees is the fee you need to pay every year to enable the bank to proceed with any of your transactions on the net, shopping purposes and other random transactions. I wished I could pay my internet connection and the annual fees but I think I will enjoy the festival first. Fortunately you remind me to enjoyment for festival.

That is a hard decision. It is always difficult to decide between a little fun and a little responsibility. Will it cost you more in the long run to not pay your obligations before you have fun? Is the 100RM unexpected money? Did you get the money for doing something extra or just for fun? If the money came from a hobby or recreation and is extra. You don't really need to use it for necessities? Then I say have fun with it. My plan is to spend my internet earned money for fun stuff. I am saving up. It may take me years but I am saving for big time vacation. If it really works I will buy a vacation home.

It took me a month to save up by doing the online sites and I am pretty misses the money I had if I use it for internet connection and debit card annual fees. But I am sure without connection I wouldn't able to do online anymore. That said money is not enough for me to have all of the things I plan to have.

well, without your internet connection, you might not be able to make more money. So you might be better off paying for the internet connection so that you have a way to make money in the future. Although it would be more fun to get new clothes.

In a certain sense that is a difficult decision to have to make. Is the money that you've saved specifically for the purpose of buying clothes for the festival or is it money that you were counting on to pay your bills? If the answer is that you are robbing from your bills to buy new clothes, then I would pay the bills instead. However, if you were saving the money with the specific intention of using it for new clothes, then I would treat myself to the new clothes.

I think you should make the responsible choice and pay your bills. If you don't you will have more stress and hardships down the road and not be able to have fun later on. I think you should have a small amount of celebration for Chinese New Year and save your money.

I trust that even with old clothes we can enjoy ourselves. After a while, who will notice your clothes. But without internet, your earning source may be gone. I would choose the internet connection and annual fees. Then again, I will call the card company and ask for waiver. Most companies are willing to waive to keep you as a customer. If they say no, well, at least you tried. I have my card annual fees waived recently.
