Does God Sanctions The Killing Of Innocent People In His Name?

Everything in existence, including human beings, has been created by God. Therefore, irrespective whether we are Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus or Pagans, we are all under the dominion of the Almighty God. But why do some people inflict harm or kill other people in the name of God? Do you think that God, who is loving and compassionate, sanctions the killing of helpless people in his name?

If people can convince themselves or others that they have God's backing, they can justify doing anything. If one questions everything, one would realize they do not have God's backing. They are doing what they choose not God. If God is capable of creating universes, why would He need anyone's help to do anything. God has ways far beyond the capabilities of mankind. He doesn't need the ants to help!!

I agree with you that God needs no one to accomplish his will. Anything evil, like killing, hatred, prejudice, etc, is not of God. I appreciate your input. Thanks.

Hi jasonnaez, Of course God does not sanction the killing of helpless people in his name. Anyone who believes in such a God is being misled. A lot of the problem is that people think that God is like us and that just isn't true. God is loving, kind and understanding, far above anything that we could imagine. Blessings.

I think I agree that God must not be confined in the box of human and religious concepts and prejudices. Thanks for the response, I appreciate it.
