Why is Obama making a big deal out of this Arizona Shooting?

Especially since he spent five hours with Valerie Jarrett watching the game playoffs saturday night. Why wait until monday to have the 'moment of silence'? I don't recall him doing this for the Ft. Hood shooting last year. Those poor victims shouldn't be used for political gain. It's sickening.

It is a big deal, and shouldn't be used as a political football.

I think he's making a big deal of it, like other scummy politicians, because it gives the gov't and excuse to try to shut down talk radio. I've heard a lot of rhetoric about it since Saturday.

So, Jan Brewer, AZ governor just gives a speech from the floor of AZ's Capitol moments ago .. today! Is she "like other scummy politicians ..."? Is she attempting to "shut down talk radio" too? Why is President Obama always the bad person .. no matter what he does as REPRESENTATIVE of this NATION!! Don't bother, the questions are all rhetorical!!

Hi Gladys..I didn't hear about Brewer's speech yet. To me, all politicians are scummy--they are power hungry for the most part and have no interest in doing what's best for the country, only for themselves or their friends. Obama is not always the bad person. In fact, I don't think he IS a bad person. He is just very inexperienced, has bad advisors and a vision of America that I and a lot of others don't share. I probably should not have lumped him in with the scum, that's a pretty broad brush, but I hear more and more people using these deaths and injuries in Arizona to advance their own agendas. And that makes me sick. I see you are new here, so welcome! I hope you'll have a lot of fun here. You can "meet" and exchange ideas with people from all over the world. We don't all agree on most things but that's what makes it so interesting.

Hi dragon54u ... thanks for your welcome. It is very interesting to me that President Obama was called NOT A POLITICAN prior to his election victory. One who had not been tarnished by DC. I'm at a total loss as to where certain people think the President is "taking" this country! My estimation ... this nation was in a total financial deep dark ditch the moment President Obama took his oath ... thanks to the ridiculous unpaid for wars, medicare advances to insurance companies, big bank corruptions, etc., etc. ... I can't begin to list all the total failures of republicans during their reign of spending like drunks!! People attempt to write President Obama's history with urgency ... why?? We have yet to start the history of GW Bush .. or will that all be revisionist history .. "HIS"tory?
