how long does it take paypal to take money from your back account

I just realized that I put a paypal transaction through on a bank account I hardly use...and therefore has no money in it. I want to put money in it before it goes to overdraft. do any of you know how long this usually takes? thanks SO much in advance!

They say 3-5 business days, but my experience has been closer to the 5 business days than the 3! I just plan for a week and don't count on it till them.

Oh no, that isn't a good thing at all. I would try to get to the bank as soon as possible to make a deposit into the account so that you won't have any overdraft fees. There have been some times that I've had paypal transactions that will post the following day and there are other times that it can take 2-3 days before the transaction will post against our checking account. That said, to get some money to the bank as quickly as possible is the best thing that you can do.
