Did you know that Zodiac Signs have changed?

I just watch the news few hours ago and i got intrigue when the newscaster tells that there is a new zodiac sign or rather the zodiac sign has been changed because of the rotation of the earth.
When i opened my PC and searched for this news i found that the zodiac sign indeed has changed.
I noticed that there is a new addition to the zodiac sign which is called Ophiuchus that falls to the people born between November 29- December 17.
My zodiac was also changed, last year i am a Scorpio but now i fall under Libra which i am not really comfortable with cause you see i love being a Scorpion.lol
Anyway, here is the new list of zodiac signs and their equivalent dates according to Minnesota Planetarium Society.
Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16.
Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11.
Pisces: March 11-April 18.
Aries: April 18-May 13.
Taurus: May 13-June 21.
Gemini: June 21-July 20.
Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10.
Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16.
Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30.
Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23.
Scorpio: Nov. 23-29.
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29-Dec. 17.
Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20.
So tell me, have your Zodiac changed too? What can you say about these changes?

Thanks for the information, djmarion. It doesn't make much of a difference, I feel this astrology thing is either something useless or very vast. If you read horoscopes based on these zodiac signs, don't trust them. I am Sagittarius (Now Ophiuchus) by mistake I read horoscope for Aries that too for three years and everyday, I felt it was true

I do not read horoscopes. I do wonder for those who do, does your personality change if your zodiac sign change? Does this mean that for someone who is born in February under a creative sign, does if their Zodiac sign change to the one before the creative, do they suddenly become flighty?

Hahaha... I heard this from the news. I don't believe much on zodiac signs or horoscope and this convinced me that zodiac sign's predictions are not reliable. With this new table, it appears that from Libra, I turned to Virgo, which is not really to appealing for me. Anyway, time changes and a lot of things will continue to change but my faith won't change.

well, this is NEWS to me. I didn't know the horoscopes have changed as of late and i am now a Virgo. I used to be a Libra, always wanting to maintain peace at any cost. oh well, i think i like the change, i don't want to be the peacekeeper anymore, it just brought me pain and hurt, lol.

No I did not know that the number of the zodiac signs have changed and this information further helped me not to believe in astrology and whatsoever they say is all hypothesis and assumptions.

I've been hearing about it (headlines online and on Facebook statuses), but I haven't read anything entirely - so your discussion here is the first "anything" in detail I've actually read. I'm a Libra (or should I say "was") and although I don't believe in it astrology, I have Libra characteristics - I'm very much a Libran. Ok, so the earth's rotation changed - well, I don't think I've changed. So - whatever! It'll be interesting to see upcoming articles on how people are supposed to handle these astrological changes - it really "shouldn't" change things - but hmmmmm.

I'm lucky that my zodiac did not change at all. My birthday is sixteenth of August. I prefer the lion sign because I am fond of animals. I don't want the Virgo, the balance, the water bearer, and the like.
Actually, I think this sign is just for the people who were born in the year 2011. But we can still follow this if we want. Neither, I do not believe in such Zodiacs or Astrology nor the fortune it contains. They are just stars made up of plasma. They are just positioned in such a scattered way. It can never predict our future I think.

I don't really believe in Zodiac signs, but I still read them everyday and get a daily free one delivered to my inbox. I'd not heard about this though, and I'm quite annoyed because my birthday falls on August 9th so I'm now Cancer rather than Leo! That's not fair! I'm not quite sure how they can just change it, especially no one really seems to know about it. I'll have to check the paper today and see if that's been changed or not (in the UK). Thanks for posting - that's quite interesting!

Huhuhu!!!! Mine change from being an Aries to a pisces!!!!! I like being an Aries for me Aries really suits my personality and then when I look up the traits and characters of Pisces I was like woah!!! this is so not me it's the opposite of me like Yin to the yang and vice versa hehehe Then I saw on the news that some astrologer said that the new zodiac sign ophiuchus (hope my spelling is right ^_^) has always been there so it's not new and is not included to the 12 zodiac signs that we have grown up on. Then late that night i searched the net and read that the constellation opiuchus was based on a very famous man in Egypt named Imhotep (I think that was the villain's name on the movie The Mummy returns or something). So I said to myself that I won't believe this new zodiac sign thingy and I will stick to my former zodiac sign heheh ^_^

Yes yes...!! My friend send me the emails. I was gemini and now, I am taurus..lol.... I don't know what is the effect. People say that zodiac determine our character, so what about this. Will it change our character if the zodiac changed? This is why I don't really believe zodiac...

I did see some headlines on the net that said the zodiac signs have changed. Or that there was a new one added. But I never looked at it more closely until today.
And today I realized that my sign has changed. From a Cancer, now I'm a Gemini. Which doesn't really sit too well with me because I can't blame my moodiness to my zodiac sign anymore.

23rd Sep - the last day of Virgo and the First day of Libra - I have traits from both of these. And I have suffered on being both but the new version puts me as a Virgo and I am not a complete Virgo anyways. So I would have to wait for the new texts to arrive and watch how they handle such changeovers.

hi there. i heard this changes from a friend and i thought it was just a joke or something. and now i saw you're post. yeah my zodiac sign was changed. from Aries to Pisces. I was thinking, how will they assess now the characters of each zodiac sign.
