Saying words of gratitude to the author who rated you as the best response.

Hello myLotters,
I became a member three months ago but i only have few posted topics and replies but whenever i receive a best response notice from myLot (Congratulations, you earned a myLot best response) it really makes me happy for i know there are excellent mylotters around commenting in the row. Thanking is the least i can do in mind.
I only had three but in the second notice of best response i gave thanks to the author for choosing mine among the others however, he asked me why thanking thus, he told me the reasons why.
Now myLotters, How about you?
Do you give thanks to the author who rated you with best response?
Or you just do it by yourself silently ?
Or no comment because you are accustom in receiving it.

Hi sardonyx,
I unless I have something further to contribute after the best response I do not go back to do so. As going back and saying Thanks for the best response is against the myLot guidelines.
It specifically says you are not to place, thanks or thank you as a response and this will run the risk of having comment deleted.
So unless you have further to add to the comment box where the best response is placed I would not do so.

Oh! thank you but oh no thanks, well that gave me an idea to review and read again the rules in mylot. I respected your views as well as others who continue to give thanks to the author who chose them as best response among the rest. I don't see no harm from doing it for its only one whom you can be thankful with for there is only one and only one best response in every topic posted and am sure that myLot wont take that opportunity away from giving at least once a word of gratitude and somehow it can serve as a motivation to do mylotting again to the best as everyone could.
You alarmed me somehow but i need to write the one guideline from myLot discussion guidelines that relates in "Thanks" and perhaps you can add more ideas. The 11th dots: Thank everyone that responds or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earnings.

Actually yes every time I recieved something like that I have no hesitate to reply back and say thank you, for me is one way to give your gratitude to somebody who given you such rewards. so that if you are giving me now a best response for this topic definitely i will back to you my sincere thanks... Hi sardonyx,
When got a BR for the first time I too felt nice and confidence raising high. Like others I too left a note of thanks. And since then whenever I get one I do thank, unless I do not forget.
This is not obligatory but when one compliments you, you too feel like showing the gratitude. Of course some might feel that he/she has got a BR for he/she really deserved it.

Receiving BR always flatters me.
. It gives me the feeling of being appreciated. Though, I know that those who do not give BR to my responses also appreciate my effort for responding to their discussions.But, actually seeing the congratulatory notification form Mylot gives me a different hype.
However, I do not say thank you, unless I need to comment back to the author's reply to my original response. That is the only time, I will freely express my gratefulness. But, under a different situation, I am just thanking the author silently. Why? It is because thanking him/her makes it a little personal, at least for me. I don't want to get too attach to the poster if not for his discussions of which I can relate so well. Other than this, we are just like all users here who are all unique in our perceptions and point of views.

I also agreed with you as it is quite flattering and wanted to add that simply going back and saying Thank for you for my best response is not allowed as the guidelines state that saying thanks and or thank you is not allowed.

Mylotters have different views and opinions as well as priorities and i respect your opinion in here anyway it wont make us less person if we don't but what matter most is how we deliver our opinions to a certain topic.

I have not received any mylot best response since I am new here and still working to know every details here in mylot. But if I will receive one. I will be thankful to the person who does. If I won't be able to do that, somehow because I am too busy at the time. But I will really find time to tell the person the words of gratitude.

I always say thanks each time i receive a best response.
That's the only way i know to express my gratitude.
I always receive same response each time i rated a specific mylotter best response in my topic,and it's very nice when they say "thank you".
So,i don't find anything wrong with saying thank you to the topic header if our comment is rated with BR...

I have been here a while, and I have received a few BR's too. But I never fail to thank people who rate my response as the best. First off, it is an indication that they too have read it. And the BR is their appreciation for my idea. The least I could do is say thank you.

Oh, i have been receiving a lot of the best responses , but i don't get to thank the person who rated me. It was because maybe my response wasn't exactly the best one in the real sense of the word , but it's the one she liked most.
I guess, from now on, maybe i should do that also. And to all who has rated me that , thank you for liking my response.

good dicussion,myself joined mylot 1 month ago so naturally one doed not have any best responses its true in my case also,but i marked best response to one mylootter and he gave me reply for thanking me for marking him the best response then i came to know that we must show grattitude towards marked one because i came to know pleasure of that reply....
any way expecting best response reward soon...............
