Communication Without Words...

If you believe that people can communicate with a god (whatever you call your god or gods) through thought and feelings alone, do you believe that people can (or ever will be able to) communicate with each other that way? Do you think people have the power to feel each other the way you think they feel god? Why or why not, and what makes this "thought communication" with god possible? Thank you for your thoughts.

Your question reminds me of an article I read not long ago of an experiment done in a auditorium with a computer generated flight simulator. Everyone in the crowd got two different colored light sticks and they used the sticks to basically fly the simulator. Within a couple minutes time the group gained control and was flying it without any real direction. I think modern society has pushed the thought of the individual and the ego ahead of the herd or group. I think this is probably the wrong direction for humanity and we are moving farther away from that type of communication.

I find this stuff fascinating. I put this under "religion" because I know some religious people consider psychic phenomena to be "witchcraft" but I was wondering if there was anyone out there who thought maybe we can "know" what others are thinking or feeling by the same mechanism (that many people believe) we use to know what god is telling us to do.

Well anyone who has taken a basic class in communication could tell you that a majority of our communications our done not through words but through body movements better known as Body Language this can convey a lot to a person when I was in sales I could tell from body language if the person was going to buy and just how much I could get them to buy with out having them back out. Also some 80% is done in this method with the other percent being our words. Also there is another form of communication that is often over looked and that is smell and I am not talking a smell that you recognize as a scent. It isn't noticeable to the Human Mind on a that smells good or Smells Bad level anyway but it is pharamones which give off the smell of come mate with me. That is what it does. Like a running Billboard of come and get me. Also if you are with a person long enough and are able to pick up on slight changes in body language and facial expressions/vocal tones you can very much get a since of how they are feeling and well if you get close enough to the person it is possible for you to have your brains be on a good enough level to be able to complete each others ideas or sentences.

I am also interested in communication by unconscious detection of pheromones, and I bleieve this occurs amongst people constantly, but I was talking more about the kind of communication most people would label as "psychic" and I wanted to know if anyone believes that we have this ability based on the fact that they believe we can know what god wants us to do, or talk to god with our minds alone (prayer.) Do you think that instances of "psychic" phenomena can be explained by body language and pheromones alone, or is something else at work? I have considered both theories.

It is possible that these are what is giving a lot of the "psychic" abilities some people have but also we have to remember that we only use 10% of our brain and if you are able to control your mind (Would be more of a Buddhist thing than Christan) then it would be possible to activate more areas of the brain which could lead to having extra abilities. Of course very little can prove this. Even though recently it has been found that Buddhist have higher brain activity than Christans.

I heard that it is regular meditation that does that. (creates the higher brain activity)

Action speaks louder than voice, so I believe communicating does not always need word. So yes we can communicate with each other even without words. We can communicate our feelings through our act whatever our emotion and feelings dictate.

If only most people took actions that were as good as their words...too many people speak of good things but don't do them.

With God, He responds back, so I know it works. With people, we can read their actions but we cannot read their thoughts or at least I can't. I can understand something about the person by their movements and facial expressions or eye movements but if they don't move I won't get much out of them.

From how I have observed things, if one can't hear of feel or see God then it is because they don't want to. If we want God in our lives then He will be there. If we don't want then He won't. If we take a sincere and honest step then God will take two. If we have bad motives in our heart we will only see God when it is too late. He can read our hearts so we can't fool him.

"Do you think if we opened up a little farther we would be able to hear/feel others the way you hear/feel god?" I honestly don't know!

Someone might say "I can't hear/feel god" and you might say "Open up your mind/heart, and you will hear/feel him." Do you think if we opened up a little farther we would be able to hear/feel others the way you hear/feel god?

I believe that we can do that. If this occurs, it will be very good for dumb persons. However, I prefer communication with words.

For me, it depends on my mood. Sometimes I am very talkative, and sometimes I do not want to speak at all. Sometimes I want to communicate with a loved one through looks and touch.

Allowing ourselves to be open enough to feel each others vibrations is a lot to ask in a world like the one we live in. I think we all have the ability to use our senses to understand a person. We put words to it in order to hear ourselves talk. Language has derived from peoples feelings and understandings of human behavior. We are now so accustomed to our voices, we seldom use our other built in communicators. I enjoyed your questions very much, thank you!

Thanks for the response! I agree that we are so used to voices we have forgotten other ways to communicate...that's why we are so stressed when a child has poor language skills, like with autism, or when someone is deaf or can't speak -- we have forgotten how to listen to all the other ways they communicate!

I think it is unfortunate that we have lost this ability in many ways. I like to meet people who are able to use all senses to learn from them and to continue keeping myself as open as possible. There may come a time when i will need skills like those to survive.

I would have to say yes, since I believe ultimately the source of all intelligence is God, and also of all life.. therefor all are connected. I also believe that like words, thoughts are vibration or waves.. so on some level I think we do 'hear' them.. but have for a large part lost the consciousness of it.. Sometimes I do feel as though I know what others are thinking..

I hope that if that is the way it works, humankind remembers or rediscovers how to hear each other...there would be more peace if that was possible.

I think communication with god is totally different than communication with friends, family members. I always feel the presense of our gods and goddesses, if called with a sincere selfless manner. Thank you so much for this beautiful topic. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

Thank you for the good wishes. Some people feel that our communication with god(s)/godessess(es)is based on their infinite abilities, and not on our human abilities.

Actions speaks louder than words. Sometimes we don't need to talk to express what feeling we have for another person. A simple glance is enough to tell what you really feel. That's something that humans are only capable of doing in this planet.

I have also found that body language, especially between people who know each other well, is often all that is needed. Thanks for the response.
