Cakes, Prices

About 6 months ago I remember going to this Mexican grocery store because I just wanted to go to some other grocery store besides the same ones all the time like Wal Mart, Kroger, Aldi's just a break from the same old stores and I found it quite nice in there, it was a big grocery store very clean and the shelves were nicely organized and just really friendly workers as well, they had a place where you could buy some tacos three for a dollar and some drinks and other food as well and a bench they was nicely made of pretty wood where you could sit and eat before you do your grocery shopping, so I did order the tacos and I have to say it was some of the best tacos ever!!! Any way after I ate I just wanted to walk around and look and when I first walked in I noticed a big glass case that covered half of a wall and had all these pretty freshly made cakes, from birthday cakes and all different cakes and I noticed this one cake that stood out to me and it was a beautiful wedding cake!!! I wish I had a picture of it to show you guys, unfortantely I don't maybe some other time I can get it and show it but anyway I looked at the price of it and it was $500.00!!! I was thinking to myself would someone really pay that much for a wedding cake? Would you? I just still thought it was beautiful but I am sure I would not pay that much for it!!!

As far aw wedding cakes go $500 is nothing! My sister is getting married and we where looking at cakes, the cheapest starting at $1200 and that was as plain as plain could be. Now the venue where I got married over a decade ago provided a generic cake and we took it because the prices then where $800 and up. Insane is the only word for it.
