People here in my hometown are very proud to know Chad Clifton who plays for the Green Bay Packers tomorrow in the Superbowl. There is another guy from here JustiN Harrel that is also on the team but has been out the whole season w/imjuries. My son played ball w/both of them. I think it's really something to have two players from here.We are a very small town & we are really cheering them on tomorrow. Are u going to watch the game?

no, personally I don't like football and my feeling has no comparison to how much my roommate hates it, but will use other people's love of the game to hit the stores while they are busy! I'm pretty bored with the game... we say my washing machines uses "football time" because, and I kid you not, the last minute can last for 15!

We all have our likes & dislikes, guess it would be pretty boring if everyone liked the samr things. Thanks for responding. Have fun shopping during the game.

Surely it is going to be interesting to watch homegrown breeds playing in any tournament. The locals should come out in full to give him moral support. This lad is really a prize trophy for the locals.

Well done to that young man. I don't pretend to understand American Football but I recognize achievement when I see it. The only coverage if the game that I have read about here is that neither team will be sporting cheerleaders. Whilst scantily clad young ladies may offend some, they do put some heart into leading the cheering. Good luck to both teams and may the best side win.

Good morning, i saw where both teams did not want cheerleaders but it didn't say why. I did wonder what their reasons were. Cheerleaders do work very hard & i was 'the doctors' the other day & they were saying cheerleading was the most dangerous sport thyere was. Go Greenbay!

I will watch it. I will be cheering for the Steelers though. I am from outside of Pgh. so they are my team. I guess we will cancel each other out by routing for different teams. I don't know any of the players personally but if I did I would probably route for them also. I must admit though, I am getting sick of hearing about it. That is all the media from here talks about. Even if we aren't in it I watch it because the commercials and the half time show are usually good!

It sounds to me like their are 3 young men to be proud of on that team from your town. No matter what they do or are doing now they have had to bust their butts to be on that team. They work hard just like the rest of the team. If they did not they would not be there. I do not watch ball games, it's not my thing. But for your boy and his mates I hope they win.

I heard on the news that you might be getting snow showers during the game. It'll be just like the Grey Cup (which I don't watch, either).

They already have a big snow in Dallas where the game will be played. I talked to a friend of mine yesterday that lives there & he said they had about 8" of snow which is very unuu=sual for them. I saw some pictures on tv & it looks awful there. I'm glad i'm a long way from there.

Hi Jo! No, hubby and I aren't sports people. Believe it or not, we do like the Olympics and figure skating especially when it's couples because of the manuvers they can do.... if they don't fall and hurt themselves. However, those two men put your home town on the map! That's really cool! Enjoy the game sweetie!

Wow that would have been a thrill to have young men from your town playing in the Super bowl! We are not into American football in Australia because Australian Rules Football is like a religion to so many here! The Super bowl was televised here and I confess I didn’t watch it because it just isn’t my thing….As a matter of fact I am probably one of the two people in Australia that doesn’t bother watching the Grand Final!

I managed to watch 1st quarter before I went to bed. I recorded the rest, but unfortunatly found out the score before I got the chance to watch it. I have seen it now and I thought the best side won. What is your town like now, have you been partying hard and enjoying the success.

Hello my dear antique Lady. Well i know that in America the superbowl is pretty famous, and i have heard of it, but over here in Romania we are not really into this sport, so we won't be watching the game. I have read a news about president Obama having invited a celebrity for watching the superbowl together - i think it was about Jeniffer Lopez. Well hope you have a great time watching it :hugs:

I will be watching the Super Bowl later today! I am a Packers fan! I know the story of Chad Clifton! Besides where he is from I know he went to Tennessee and blocked for Peyton Manning in college! I am a Wisconsinite and my favorite Packer is a a Wisconsinite! Born, raised, went to college at Wisconsin and has played his whole career with the Packers! I am talking about right tackle Mark Tasucher! He will not be playing because he is on injury reserve along with alot of other Packers! I think it like 15 all together! Since he got injuried he has been to all the games and I have noticed him,on the sidelines, alot when I watch the Packer games. So I know he and the other guys on IR are with the team! I can't wait for the game to start! Go Packers!!!!

I know how proud you must be. I live in a town where we've had quite a few professional football players. We've had two players who've played in the Superbowl. The feeling is great, especially if you know them in some kind of capacity. Congratulations and enjoy these "homey celebreties" as I call them. I am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, having lived there years ago. So if I can find the game on the Internet, I'll be looking.
