Do you spend with your credit card or cash?

I don't have any credit cards and never want to get one. I prefer paying with cash, good thing with cash is there is only that much that you can use, you don't need to worry about paying back off, you won't spend beyond. What do you prefer?

we do have a credit card but most often use debit cards There is less risk than in using cash. It is easier to carry and most places take the debit card. It is better than checks but you do need to keep track of the spending so as not to overdraw the account. We can use the debit card as either a credit or debit card but you are using your money and not actually using credit.

Earlier I used to use the Credit Card. But, once I forgot to make the payment and the charges stumped me. Now, it is either my Debit Card or Cash. No Credit card for me. I have had pretty bad experience with it.

I prefer to use cash to buy things from stores and retail chains. I use a debit card to purchase things online. I don't use checks. Debit card is good because I won't have to worry about being in debt. The downside to using a debit card is once you used up all of your money you can't use credit to hold you over until your next pay check.

I use neither, I use a cash card/debit card/check card (whatevecr you call 'em). That's my way of spending money I actually have. I have a couple of credit cards (OK, 4) but I definitely only use them if I absolutely have to!

Hi! Honestly, I do not keep a credit card, this is due to the simple fact that I dont like having debts to pay at the end of the day. It is best to live and w/ whatever you have and have a worry-free life.

i really dont like credit cards because you run into so much trouble with those and i think they pretty are a waste of your time.. I prefer cash, but another good option would be prepaid cards., so i prefer those to options., i mean i know the prepaid card to a credit card are like the same but there just different.

Me and the boyfriend just got one credit card to be able to use when we do run out of money and need something like gas or food but dont spend it on anything else but that and we try to always use are debit cards till we dont have any more money to use. I dont carry much cash with me anymore because its a harsh world out there and people are always steling purses or your wallet just to have some cash now and i work pretty hard to have my cash or my money for me and my life.

I use both, sometimes cash and sometimes my credit card. It depends on what I am buying and how much cash I have, to be honest.

yea... when you use keep putting the payment on the credit card, when you lose track of how much you have spent, you end up with a big bill at the end of th emonth!

I don't have a credit card but I do have a debit card. Even with the debit card, I prefer to spend cash as its physically limited right there in my wallot. Like you said, you can't spend more than you planned, where with a card you can clean yourself out if wanted. I love having a couple bills as well because you don't need to worry about someone finding it and taking all of your money.

I have a credit card, it came 4 years ago when i bought a computer. But after one year of paying to it so i can cover the debt, i decided to stop using credit cards. Even when it is about a car or a house, i prefer no credits at all, best is to put aside the money you need, and if you don't make enough to raise the sum you need, then maybe you should do something about it and increase your income. That's my philosophy and it keeps me always focused and aware.

Sadly, some times in your life, you are forced to do things, you do not want to do! I never wanted/or needed a Credit Card, until a few years ago! I needed an operation, and had to be in the hospital at 7:30 in the morning! I live on an Island, and that meant I had to take the Ferry to the City the night before, and had to stay overnite....they would not take a reservation unless I had a Credit Card! I also found, that all hotels/motels require a damage deposit...and they will accept nothing less than a Credit Card...I tried leaving CASH..NO GO! YOU need a credit card to rent a car! Just pay it off at the end of each month! Cheers!

i think credit/debit card are comfortable but usually i spend cash money and not really using everytime the credit card!!I think if i buy a normal or not so expensive goods i can pay in cash without problems may be for some goods or services whcih they are more expensive a credit card can be more comfortable..

I have a credit card, but I prefer to use a debit card. That way it comes out of your account and you won't overspend or have to pay it back. The credit card I just have for emergencies and on-line purchases. I don't like to use my debit card on-line because it is tied to my bank account, so I use a credit card that you are not responsible for unauthorized purchases.

Well, with my current state of economy, I would as much as possible avoid credit cards. To me, credit cards are considered poison. In a way, it has potential to ruin your lives if you don't use it properly or minimally at best. Cash is just that way and I agree with you, no more interest needs to be paid. It's just different people treat cash differently.

I don't own any credit card, so I just spend my cash. If I want to buy something online so I use paypal, with the funds I have in my account balance. I'll try to obtain a credit card by next year, so I can buy online without money in my paypal.

I prefer credit cards. First of all I keep a log which shows me where and how much I've spent and how much I owe on the next statement .... my credit cards also give me between 1% to 5% cash back on purchases.
