How small is the world on the internet.
Nice to hear from Latvia. My Dad lived in East Prussia right there by the Lithuanian border, when he was a kid. He used to tell me about their cold winters and what it was like when he was a kid.--He told me that it was so cold that at one time his ears froze from the cold and his mom did rub them with snow so they would stay intact. Which they did, but they were always very red and soft when we had frost outside, I remember.-
I live in Florida right now, where the weather is really cold this winter too.- At least for me having been here for such a long time.- But then there are Canadian people on vacation who can walk at the beach in a bathing suit when I need a pullover. - And you should think I had the DNA for cold weather.--

Nice to hear something from our people in other countries. Latvians are all over the world. We are small nation and history didnt spoil us. Yes canadian weather is Mostly like in Latvia. How much degrees there is in Florida?

Latvians are then just like Germans you find them everywhere too.-
Our lowest temperatures here in Florida were around -3 oC this winter now we have around +8 0C.
This is probably ridiculously warm for you, but if you are used to 28 oC - 32 oC every day pretty much from May till Chrismas you freeze at 8+ oC as unbelievable as it sounds.
Florida is called the "Sunshine State".
Our summer here is as unbearable as your winter. People stay at home in air conditioned rooms because it is too hot outside.
In Winter we love it here, because we can breathe again we enjoy the sunshine everyday.- So this is like a nice summer day in Germany.
I remember when I moved to Florida I thought people were crazy wearing thick jackets, when I only needed a t-shirt.- Now I freeze too.
By the way I find the history in your corner of the globe really interesting.- It is true this part of the world was not spoiled by history.

Hello forshin and welcome to myLot. It started snowing here in Michigan USA about 4 hours ago. Isn't it strange that being on the other side of the world we can be having the same weather? We are getting nice big pretty fluffy flakes. If it keeps up my granddaughter will be out tomorrow making paths for the dogs.

Hello. It is snowing here in Canada too. Winter this year is very severe, heavy snow, blizzards, snow storm, avalanches, icy road conditions. One has to be very careful in driving along the roads and highways. And, of course, wear warm clothes to keep warm !

Yesterday on morning there still was snowing, but now it stops and sun is shining! Its a beautyfull day. But yesterday I was driving to city and there was snow storm, that I cant see a car driving in front of me and there was Icy roads and many car crashes.

And here in Norway it's snowing again, one month later! Snow in March is a bit too late for me, especially as it came so much that it doesn't all melt at once :-/
Of course, there's far too many surprised foreigners driving trailers that don't have proper tyres and thus end up in a ditch. Or straight across the road :-/ I really wish they'd stop them on the border and refuse them to enter Norway if they don't have chains etc.

In Latvia its still snowing too :D

It was really a wonderful sight, snow here, there and everywhere. But it's so sad that I can only see snow in pictures and movies. I am from a tropical country and the snow falling on my head is quite impossible. Anyway, I hope that someday I would be able to see and play with the snow.

I think that someday you will be able to see snow, because there is so many oportunities to travel. And we are very happy about snow only for first months,because now we all are waiting for spring, when all nature wakes up. Time when Love is in the air!

Latvia Is in Eastern Europa. We are in neighbours with Russia. Now its winter here. We have -10 C and there Is strong snowfall :) In city it is not so dificult, but I live in countryside and roads are realy slipery and its hard to get somewhere :D I think that its realy interesting, that we got all types of weather.
I would like to trip to malaysia but only for some week or two. I love my country

Every year in Latvia is snowing, but for 2 last years snow is more than other years. My mother said, that so much snow was when she was a child
