Bang Bang... But Today is Not 1st April... It is Valentine's Day for Sure

Time: Around 6:00 am - just two hours I had been asleep and the sweet nightmares were just starting... I heard someone banging the door... and the nightmare ended prematurely... I woke up and heard my wife shout from inside the bath, Honey, the water in the tank is gone and I am all soaped up... can you fetch me a bucket of water from outside? Oh so this is the reason... happens quite frequently at places where there are power cuts and things like this... But I needed to help her out... So I took a bucket, when downstairs(we are on first floor), to the community tube well, and finally got back after 20 minutes... only to find my wife done and ready, offering her prayers to the Lord... Was she playing the Fool's Day on me? Before I could ask, she said, Honey Happy Valentine's Day... You know I would have to leave for work earlier today and I did not want to wake you up... But if I did not, I would not have been able to spend the small time we can have together right at the start...The water never went off but I did not want to disturb your sleep I felt on top of the world... We did prepare and had the Breakfast together, we also got the Custard done and now it is cooling in the refrigerator. I am excited and looking forward for the Dinner as I am going to be the chef for my wife tonight What has been your surprise for the day? Happy VALENTINE's Day To All on MyLot Family

Oh, that's wicked. I have plans but I'm afraid they're a little mediocre. I have to think more.

I mean think of an even better plan. You don't just do stuff. You have to think first before anything else most of the time.

Oh... I believed when it was the matters of the heart, the only thing to listen to is the call of the heart... but yes, you are right... most of the time one must think before the doing

Hello Sid, That was a good surprise from your wife. Now I scared that next time if she really needs your help and you didn’t turn it out…(sorry making fun of you, I don’t know you stand for your wife later …) I am glad to know that you both are celebrating and enjoying the special day. I guess you must be busy with the preparations now. I wish to come down and taste the food, today I don’t want to be the ‘black-ant in heaven’ so I will come some other days. Thank you so much for sharing the day with us Sid, I enjoyed it.

Hi Sree, She knows the next time I may not listen to her and that is why she was trying to explain me all the things... Sometimes I feel happy that there are moments she is scared of me... but these are really rare moments as most of the time I am scared of her but yes, she also knows that she is the only one for whom I can do almost anything... I love her so much And yes, if we stayed at one place or in one city, I would have invited you over dinner for sure (if you did not have other plans and all of us - you, your family and me with my wife) would have had a good time together

hi sid and sorry that i didn't respond to this y'day...but i did it purposely...just not to spoil your happiness, enjoyment and celebration...coz maybe after reading my response you would have felt a bit dull or negative... so for us...we never celebrate this day...as my hubby says its not of our culture..we are indians and this is not from what our tradition says...but my own view is that ...we should not leave any chance of celebration and happiness ...may the reason be anything...so i congratulate you for your celebration...may the love between u both grow with every valentine's day hope u had a fantastic dinner last night... and i think the chef is tired and asleep

Hi eshaan, I 100% agree that we should not leave any chance of celebration and happiness We had a great dinner yesterday and the only thing that went wrong was our selection of the Movie that she got from the DVD parlor... "Dil to Bachcha Hai Ji"... we both felt bored while watching this one. But barring this, I think all went ok and as planned

Hahaha! You should be thankful for a clever wife. Happy Vday. We've already gone out last night to avoid the rush. Sad to say, unlike you, I don't know how to cook.

My guy is the best gift I could ever want.I am not into the romantic part of Feb 14th. Earlier I thought it meant I wasn't romantic but it is just me or should I say just us. My guy feels the same. I am so glad you two had a romantic evening. tell her hello from me.

Hi behen, Did you not get any gifts? Here is mine for you Yes, we had a great time in the evening, though we got into watching quite a boring movie but otherwise it was all good and lovely. During the time I was cooking, she got some time to spend on the computer, on the phone and then got busy with cleaning up the mess that I always spread around the house during the day there were clothes to be done, wrappers of the biscuits, etc... I am still unable to keep the trash where it should be (a difficult thing but still learning)... then we had some KennyG playing on the PC and a candle light dinner.

Hi ifa, I remember on an earlier discussion of mine, you mentioned no one would ask you for a date just because you have a kid... Today is the right time to ask you for a date... May I invite you for a mug of coffee? You might say "WHAT! You even dont know where on earth I stay"... But I have my own way here - I can send you a Gtalk Invite and we can have a text chat and at the same time sip coffee at our ends...

Hi thesids, Happy Day to you my friend! I am very happy to read your wonderful breakfast and preparing of the custard with your wife this morning. So far over here it is very early, so no surprises and or fools for me yet. My boyfriend has a show today of which I will be home alone most of the day and evening. We shall see if the day brings me any surprises and or bangs, for which I can pleasantly divulge.

Hi GF I was busy wishing you a Happy Valentine's on another discussion from giftsandbags We are so similar today... Good that you did not have any shocking but lovable surprises. So like me you too are going to be alone (you would have kids around you) most of the day.... and I stole it from the above mentioned discussion - you would be playing the chef like me tonight... So now I know that either I have a near carbon copy in you or you have a carbon copy in me... Happy valentine's day to my dearest and only GF

Good morning, thesids and happy fools day! Are you going to buy a bouquet of flowers for your wife on April the 1st or you will prepare a hoax to surprise her on fools day? We didn't use to celebrate Valentine's Day in my country before 1990. Then people started to like other peoples holidays and they started to celebrate them. I still don't like to celebrate this day as I think we don't need a special day to show our love to each other. My partner knows how I feel about this imported holiday and we agreed there is nothing special about February the 14th. So I don't think I will have a surprise today. (though if he watches too much the TV today, he might come with the idea of preparing a surprise for me. He does this quite often, without a particular reason).

Hi inu, I would buy her a bouquet of flowers on April 1st for sure... They would be availbe at a cheaper price that day coz today, there are not many left and they are highly priced... The compensation is the dinner that I will cook tonight. Personally, I never believe that there is a special day to express your love towards anyone... Love will always get expressed no matter what day or what time it is. Hmm you got a loving guy by your side and I wish you got such sweet surprises more frequently than the ones I get

Oh, my valentine was not really much interesting and exciting. The reason is that i have valentine the whole year except that particular year. In this manner, romance is 364 days a year. That special day called valentine, i go home to my wife.
