Rap-rap was name after the former President of Philippines Ejercito Estrada. Rap-rap has a camouflage type of skin fur or military shirt. He is half breed. I forgot what breed it was. I tell you, you can't see any lice or crawling species to his body. This dog is very dear to us like his mom. Rap-rap is a reliable dog. He can watch our eatery business.I tell you. Every morning I help my mom to pack up the things to be used in our business. My mom always invite rap-rap to go with her to be his assistant watcher. Because our eatery is open to all 4 sides. Their was an incident that a friend of ours which is still stranger to the eyes of our dog. Entered and wash his hand without permission. Rap-rap didn't stay away to this man and pullout all his teeth. My mom just pee for a while. And when she came back the man who washed his hand is still standing to his position until mom said stop rap-rap. He is a friend. Next time asked permission so the dog will not treat you like this. We have a good memories to this dog, rap-rap. Business hours or family hours. My mom treat rap-rap as our third member of the family. The Saddest part was when my parents has a big argue which leads to separation for a couple or more months. Rap-rap is getting low energy that day onwards. He misses my mom. Everyday God given he is waiting non-stop infront of our gate.Wishing the next person who will open the door is my mom giving him a great hug and rub to his back. We feed him like what my mom is doing but its not good enough. He wants my mom. Until such time he is getting weaker. He died infront of our gate waiting for my mom to come home.

What a loyal dog! That is what you call unconditional love and devotion. Must have been a privilege to have had him as your pet. May he rest in peace.

At first when you said your dog is like hachiko I thought you purchased an Akita Inu breed of dog but when I read the story, i realized you are talking about the personality of the dog is similar to hachiko. is your dog very close to your mom and does your mom already knows tha situation of the poor little fella? At least in your dog's case, There is more chance for your mom to comeback. In Hachiko's case nothing.

That's a very sad story. My condolences on the loss of your dear pet. We sometimes don't realize how emotionally connected our pets are to us. It can hurt them deeply to lose someone, too.

Hi We have 4 dogs at home. Except the leader of the pack, a German Shepherd, all other are mixed breed, but all are fiercely loyal and faithful and are great guard dogs. Each one is very possessive about my mother. All of us just love them too much, as much as you would love your family members.

That's very sad. Dogs are very loyal to their owners. Our dog passed on a few years back as well due to old age. She was family to us & she was very smart too. We won't be getting anymore dogs until we move to a landed property.

That's soo sad to hear. I'm a dog lover myself and I know how you feel right now. We treat our pets as part of the family and sometimes it's fascinating to realize that they feel the same with us. They usually even consider themselves as the baby or the guardian of the family. The also get affected if they see tension or problems in the family. I guess that's one of the reasons why your dog got weak and eventually got sick. He's attached to your family especially to your mom. I saw the movie Hachiko and I was teary eyed when the movie ended. It just shows how much I am passionate with dogs. I love cats too and I'm currently have two which I found scurrying in the streets when they were still kittens. I admire the way you value your dog. I hate to see other people try to acquire dogs (especially those with breeds) just to show off to other people. Sometimes they only consider them as a "trophy" but not really a part of the family.

That's soo sad to hear. I am sorry for you. I watch the movie, "Hachiko" and I loved so much. Some dogs are more sensitive than people.
