I am a blogger and I want to capture every memorable moments or even remarkable scenery and I would like to share it to my readers and viewers to attract more visitors. I am planning of purchasing a DSLR nikon camera. What about you? would you prefer a dslr camera or would be satisfied and contented with the point and shoot camera?

I am content with a point and shoot camera as I am not much of a photographer. But our business requires one with better quality. I bought my husband a Canon EOS 1000D recently (the cheapest one I could find). I wanted to buy a Nikon D60, but I cannot get it at the price I can afford.

Exactly its too expensive and I also cant afford it. But I am really trying my best to get it and working really hard for this blog to monetize and that would be the next thing that I'll be buying. Maybe 4 months from now, I could earn already on my blogging then once I have save it all up. Then I might be buying that DSLR camera. I will also checking the camera you bought for your husband, since the cheapest one and I hope they have the same features of the DSLR camera..

So far, the Canon EOS 1000D seems to be fine for our use. We have tested the Nikon D60 owned by our friend, that's why I was looking for it. I have looked at different comparison websites, and it came up quite highly recommended for beginners in DSLR, which is exactly what we are.

I am also a beginner for DSLR not even too good for it. But I love the result and outcome of the picture that is why I like it so much. I will check on that canoon EOS 1000D. May I ask, what is the range of the prices for this camera? I want to have budget for it.

If all you want to do is to post photos on a website, then you will not need a 12mpxl camera. You will only have to reduce the size of your pictures so that they display properly on the web page, do not take up unnecessary space on the server and make your users tear their hair out while waiting for them to load! The main reasons for getting a DSLR are: * You see exactly the view you are going to take (this is much more important in macro photography than in medium to long shots. * You tend to have much more control over exposure, aperture and so on - BUT it takes a lot longer to get to know how to use the camera and only ever using the Auto setting to take scenery and family photos means that most of the money you spent is simply wasted. * You can change lenses according to what you are taking. Good lenses are not cheap, however (they can easily cost as much as you paid for the camera). As well as the disadvantages mentioned above, a DSLR is large and heavy and cannot be slipped into a pocket and brought out to take a picture at a moment's notice. Most professional photographers also carry a compact digital camera as well so that they can take a quick shot rather than miss a shot completely. If this is your first digital camera, I would recommend investing in a medium priced compact camera with a good zoom range and some options for manual control. You will learn a great deal about the art of composing and taking good photographs with such a camera and you will find that you can carry it with you almost anywhere.

Its not just posting photos on my website that I am doing. I just want to add some photos so that it would be attractive to my readers and visitors. Because its too dry if my website doesn't have any photos and next to that is I dont want to simply post photos that is ordinary. But just like the DSLR camera I want to post photos just like the way I see it and with a good view and focus on it. Just like what you said. But its true enough that DSLR is costly and its heavy and huge. I would be having difficulty in carrying it all over with me.

The Nikon is a good camera, but I prefer the Canon. Either one will do the job it just depends on which you like.

i would suggest you purchase a DSLR because of the flexibility that it can provide....with DSLR's you capture images that would be impossible for a point shoot cam, example if your going to take a picture of a parade, a regular point and shoot camera would just take the picture showing people who are in costumes marching, but in a DSLR camera with just some tweaks in buttons and dials added by a lens you can make the image alive...hope it helps with you decision
