To all the animal lovers here,say you met someone you like but they say the dont like animals and would never consider having pets.What would you do?I will definitely not choose anyone over my pets.I love cats and allow my cat all over my bed,couch and other places.If you dont like it fine,MOVE.I have a profile on a site and i have pics of my cats lying on my bed.This guy sent me a friend request which i accepted since he wanted to see photos of me.He sends me this msg claiming he dont like animals and would never allow it on his bed.He claimed its nastiness and that soon i will be allowing pigs and goats there to.Hey its my bed i allow my cat there cause he is part of my family.And further more my cats have their weekly shower and i even spray them for fleas.If you dont like it please move on to the next page.What would you do or say to someone who makes such rude and out of place statements?How much is your pets part of you family?

I doubt that I would fall in love with someone that doesn't like animals.
even if they never mentioned it.
if they don't like animals and can't even tolerate their presence then they're just not a nice person. you can't be a nice person and dislike all animals. it's a deep seated personality flaw.
and if they managed to keep their nasty side hidden until they revealed that they didn't like animals, then that would be the point I discovered they lack kindness and affection, and I wouldn't pursue the relationship further.

I so agree with you.Although there are those who are allergic to fur yet the arent so oppose as those simply are wicked.I love my cats and hope one day i can have at least five at once.

Hi there, it is fine for me to have a friend that is not an animal lover. I for one is an animal lover and I have many dogs and cats in our house. But let as always remember that we all have our personal opinions and taste in everyday life that we cannot judge anyone who does not blend of what we like in life. The only time that we cannot take them in as a friend if we see that they doing wrong things. Like punishing pets just for the fun of it or worse eating dogs which are practiced in some places. This people are not worthy of our friendship.

I will not judge anyone because they dont like animals but i will take offence when you judge me.Animals are just like us they need to be loved and pampered and cherish.I dont want to have a dog as a pet but i still find they are cute and very lovable.I understand that everyone is different but please dont judge me because i allow my pet in my house like i would any human.

I agree with you.Pets are like kids,they want their independence but always find time to cuddle and make you feel special.

I think that was a rude comment. It is your bed and it is your choice if you want the cats on your bed. It reminds of a story my friend told me. When she met her boyfriend he was living alone with his dog and the dog slept on his bed. My friend wanted the dog out of the bed and then her boyfriend said: "I invited you into my house and and I invite you to share my bed, but there is one thing that you have to understand. The dog was here before you arrived. You are allowed to be in the bed, but the dog has to be here. It is not the other way around"
I have a dog, a cat, a guinea pig and 6 rabbits. I love my pets and they are a part of my family. Fortuneately my husband also loves pets and it has never been a problem in our relationship. I could imagine dating a man who doesn't like pets at all.

I love the response he gave.One thing we fail to realise is that we have to accept the people we love as they are unless of course its something you know thats harmful to him/her.

Yes i do allow pets to go to my bed.I think it's not a bad things. And i am a pet or animal lover. But right now i don't have pet as i don't have much time to take care them. If i do have pet then i should give some times to my pet. Like feed the pet and clean them.
I do live in hostel and every year i go back home for 2 months. So that time it's also difficult to handle any pet.

What hew said was rude!! If he saw the picture and he knew he didn't like it why would he just move on and skip the comment. People have nothing better to do but make rude remarks toward other people. I have a kitten and two dogs and they sleep with me every night. They are part of my family and would never choose a friend or boyfriend over them. Whoever is part of MY life must love animals!! I knopw some people say animals have germs etc but I wash my pets paws (with an all natural anti bacterial wash) before they get into the bed with me and I was my sheets every Sunday. I have never had a problem with germs!!

Wow!! This would not be someone I would want really around and if they said it to you online like in Facebook, or something or even here that is unreal. I would never judge a person just because I do not like animals. I know though that it could be something that some would consider. My husband and I both Love animals and find them a great part of anyone's life.

I will choose my pets over a partner.I am childless by choice.I am happy with it.I am filling my loving needs by having a pet.I have some friends who aren't animal lovers.it is fine by me,as long as they won't hurt my fur baby.if a guy does that to me,I will be honest and say,"you're wasting your time.find someone else who doesn't like animals like you do".

Hello Friendship4life,
I can understand people who don't love animals, but I can't stand them when they make mean comments over animal lovers.
If they don't love animals, why do they feel the need to be rude with people who love them?
I think I would never spend too much time around people who don't love animals (except the time when I'm at work). Isn't it better to be around people who share the same interests as we do?
