I read that Charles Verley has traveled to a total of 823 of the world's countries, territories, enclaves, islands, provinces and autonomous regions. He is age 45 and works in the computer industry. I have counted how many countries that I have been to but I haven't counted territories, enclaves, islands, provinces and autonomous regions. Have you counted how many you have been to? I would like to see Charles's list of where he has been. What do you think? I have been to more than 50 different countries.

Hi, maximax8. I have only been to only one country, and that is the United States. I have never traveled to another country before. I would like to travel to another country someday. I would like to see Charles's list though. I think that it is fascinating to visit so many countries in the world. It must be so fun for him.

Hi Cream. The United States has around fifty states I think. So you come from one of these and you might have been to one of more other states. I have been to California and Hawaii. Canada has provinces and I traveled to British Columbia last year.

Hi Maximax, Well, this discussion got me sitting here counting up just how many countries I have actually been to. In total it is 32 but if you start adding islands that come under a mainland authority, eg. the balleric isles = Spain, then there are a lot more to be added. Some I have visited as holiday destinations, a couple for weddings and some for work. I have been lucky that in the past work has taken me abroad and I have had the resources to be able to choose foriegn dstinations as holiday venues. I know of some people who have never travelled outside their country of birth and don't even own a passport.

Hi there Leigh, I am really pleased to hear that you have been to 32 different countries. Spain has quite a few islands doesn't it. Just think about how islands Croatia has hey. It is lovely that you have traveled for work, a celebration and holidays. Yes, I find it sad that some people don't have a passport and others have but haven't yet been away from their home country.

I sure do like to see his list. What is it with territories, enclaves, islands, provinces and autonomous regions? Are they not part of a particular country? I only have visited 9 countries and I would like to add many more. hehehe... Sometimes I wonder that I chose the wrong profession to be in for me to be able to travel. I know many friends who works in the computer industry. They sure do have a lot of chances to travel in different countries.

I have been to the West Bank which is between Israel and Jordan. Islands that I have been to include St Lucia which is an actual country, French Polynesia which is an overseas department of France and Rarotonga in the Cook Islands that belongs to New Zealand. It is interesting to hear that people in the computer industry get to do a lot of international travel.

I've actually been to several different countries. I have traveled around Canada, which is the country that I live in. Other than that, I have been to three other countries. At least, I can only think of three.

I wish I could take him next year to the USA and to Praga (where his grandfather was bornt) Blessings! Dainy

Wow, that's a big list! It's true that even though a lot of places are territories under another country, they can be completely different! Maybe we should just count the cities we've visited since even just cities have their own uniqueness.

Dear maximax8, I love the way you live life. Traveling let us see the world better, experiencing first hand the culture of other nations, admiring the natural beauty of its scenery and its awesome architectures. Enjoying their local food Wow, covering 50 countries at this young age is really an achievement. I wish to be able to travel intensively like you. So far, I have only visited around 26 different countries in Europe, US, Asia and North Africa.

Hiya maxi, Have you been to more than 50 Countries already? I have only been to England and back and back again to Spain. Well I have been through France so that makes three. I do want to visit more than that though but at the moment money is very short and this like most People has always been my problem. My spare Cash has always gone on my Kids up to now well in fact it still does. How did you manage to get to visit all those? How lucky then. Those are the only three Countries I have been in believe it or not. I got married quite young and the cash scene was never brilliant so I got stuck here as you might say. That won´t stop me from going place later on though I hope. I am hoping are´nt I?

It is a great feat to travel 823 countries. I don't know how he manages to get the funds. Apart from funding, it requires a genius to do all that travelling and give up most of the worldly things including family life. In my youth I traveled abroad to work and staying in a country for more than seven years. As part of paid holidays in between I could travel to about 10 countries including those I touched down on transit. Your travelling to about 50 countries is also great I feel. You must have done lot of traveling.

Anyway, i really want to take a travel even just in domestic. Happy molotting.

Hi maxi, I'm sure you will cross Verley. I think you are much younger than Verley. If you count territories, enclaves, islands, provinces and autonomous regions your travel list will be much longer than that gentle man. I'm with you.

Wow that is amazing! To think of only that made me answer to this discussion, although I'm not even entitled to. I've never been out of my country so far, and if I could I would also want to go to many places. But to surpass 823 countries is a whole different story though, I don't think I can manage that. Haha! More than 50 countries is already great.. I hope you could visit more in the future. Good day! :)
