Birthday wishes to friends on face book

I turned the big 40 on Tuesday, so as soon as i opened up my face book all i could see was loads of inbox messages as well as comments wishing me happy birthday as well as people inviting themselves to mine for a drink, as alot of the close friends that i have on there know i can not go out due to health problems.I have been trying to catch up with everyone on there, but it seems to take forever.I never really bother much with face book, but i thought i would go on there and play a few word games against a friend, abit like i do on here.The only thing is that i have alot of friends on there and no sooner have i left a message for one person, i get another two people wanting a message,lol.

Happy Birthday to you then. I did´nt know that either will try to remember that one.
Glad that you have a lot of Friends everywhere too.
It does take time to keep answering everyone on Facebook yes.
I had some Birthday wishes too on there but not too many as I don´t have a lot of Family that keep in touch.
Did you get lots of presents? Well I am being a bit nosy there but I hope you got the best presents and the ones that you wanted in particular.
I had been asking for a decent pair of headphones but they did not alas "listen" to my ideas and thoughts (grin).
Are you better now that is the best Gift you can have too.
All I can send you are my best wishes albeit three Days too late.xxx

I have now sent everyone a message on face book and i feel alot better for catching up with them all.I hardly go on face book nowadays, so i was shocked when i went on there and saw all the messages.I am now having a break from face book again.Thank you for the birthday wish.

Yes I don´t blame you as it can get to be overwhelming a bit. I go on there a few minutes a Day because I have no other way of being directly in touch with People of Wolverhampton you see.
When you have no other way of contact you do all you can to be there for anyone that might want to know what´s going on as well sort of like a Beacon of light. "Out Of Darkness Cometh Light" Wolverhampton Motto.

Lol, well so far so good.I have at long last caught up with all of the messages on face book lol.Now i can have a break from face book as i will not feel as guilty now, as i did not want people to think that i was ignoring them.Thank you for the birthday wish.I have posted things twice on here before,lol.

I had a birthday ten days ago and got bombarded with friends wishing me happy birthday as well. Last year I think I just did a thank you post to everyone a day or two later, but this year I decided to reply to each well wisher individually. Well that took a while! 
Just when I thought I was done at the end of the day, I had twice as many the next day when all the people in the UK and USA that are in time zones a day behind me got the notification and posted. Then there were those who posted late as well. It was great to get all the messages, but it took me some time to respond to them all!

That is what i done.I put up a thank you for all the wishes and then other people were putting comments on that status as well, lol and still leaving me in box messages.I have now caught up with all the friends, thankfully.It is rare that i go on face book, but i was told to have a look on there, so i did and to my shock that is when i saw all those messages,lol.

Yes, i got a lot of messages in facebook when they know about my birthday. Mt whole wall was flooded with their wishes, as well as my inbox. HOwever, i did not reply to them all, except for a few of my close friends and the initial few whom i don't really know well. As i did not know facebook has got such a feature of reminding friends, i thought someone leaked my birthday, as i don't want too many people to know about it.

I was told by my daughter that there were alot of people on there leaving messages on a comment from where i had done a status a few days before hand.I have at last caught up with all the wishes that i got and now i can chill out away from face book for while

hello again, have just picked this message up, changed jobs (still same company) but hours are different, i get in later, and have no time to get on line, and when i do get on, things go t***s up and crash, but ha ! have got on and seen the best response from you so thank you very much, and hope your 4oth decade is extremely happy hope you had a good celebration too xx

Happy belated birthday though i'm almost a week late!! lol =D Well, i think i might have a few wishes coming thru my facebook as well, but i din expect them to know it at all.. haha =D I was surprised when i checked my mail and i saw some notifications about it.. haha =D Though i did not get any birthday wishes via text messages, but what i received from facebook is more than enough.. haha =D ANd i did thank them all as it's only about 4 of them.. lol =D

Hi Jugsjugs,
First of all Belated wishes of your birthday. Yes facebook is a real place ot hang out and make friends. Also it shows your birthday to everyone in your friends list so there is no problem of having not known. If you are interacting with person on Face book then they become close friends. I usually use Facebook to play Farm Ville and chat a few friends. Though I find Face book more better place ot hang out then here, and its games are addicting , but it helps me get in touch with even my old friends whom I have not seen for more than a year or so.

Thank you.There are alot of my friends that do not go on face book any more, just like me, just peeek in once in a while, but it was nice to see how many people sent wishes.I am on other sites as well as face book so nowadays that is where we all hang out nowadays.I pop into face book once in a while to get any messages from friends.

The big 4-0 now that is a milestone that I have a few years to wait to hit. However, belated happy birthday wishes are in order for you. That said, I have noticed that when it comes to facebook, when it is your birthday you get messages from almost everyone wishing you a happy birthday. This even goes so far as to say that you get birthday greetings from friends of yours that you never talk to through the rest of the year.

Happy belated b-day, at the big 4-0 . Hope it was great, as it sounds like it was good. I used to get flooded so much on mu b-day that by the time I got through them all it was Halloween then Thanskgiving, then got a flood again, by the time I got through them all it was Christmas lol... It sure it neat to see all those happy b-days roll in. I used to always post the youtube Casey Jones Happy birthday song.. but then facebook thought I was spamming.. so I stopped :)

Thankfully for you, we can't all come around, and wish you the best in person, you would have a houseful for a year! I had a great day as well as a great night, what with people popping in and out, as well as the phone ringing and all the messages on face book, as well as other site.I have caught up with all the messages now and i feel alot happier that i have done that, time for a break off face book for a while,lol.It was great news about my husband.Thank you for the birthday wish.

Happy Belated Birthday! Did turning 40 bother you? I know it does a lot of people. I am well past that now. It didn't bother me at all. I don't care about my age, just my weight for some reason. I am not overweight, so I don't know why that bothers me. I have a facebook account, but I don't go on it often. It is nice to get the wishes from a lot of people, especially if you can't get out much. It is nice to know someone remembered! Again, Happy Birthday! I hope you had a great day.

Thank you.Turning 40 did not bother me, as i had a bet with a few people that are my age now that they would be a grandmother before they were 40 and that i would not,lol, i won that one.I do not really go on face book alot nowadays as over the past year or so it has become rather boring.I am trying to keep my weight down, it is hard.I did have a great birthday thank you, also i have managed to respond to all the messages that i got, at last.

Happy Birthday! But ya I understand how you feel. It is hard to respond to everyone that sends you birthday wishes. Because Facebook lets everyone know who is a friend on your page that it is your birthday, you may get bday wishes from people who you havent talked to in years and they are just stopping by to say happy birthday.

Thank you.I was shocked to see soo many people that had put all the messages on there as i hardly go on there nowadays as i got really bored of face book.I am now having another break from face book, as i have now caught up with all the messages.It was nice to see all the messages, but it seems to have taken ages to message everyone back,lol.

Ow! So you are lucky! everybody trying to talk to you..what great news...facebook can be really sad and boring sometimes..I have good friend on my facebook so I always have somebody talking to me..however it does not happen to everybody..even they have real friends, most of the people just have facebook to show they own interest...you know..how they are happy, what the have done...I mean facebook is good and bad in the same time..But you...You have do enjoy it and make plans with your friends and enjoy them as much u can!
