I'm Scared to take the Train?

My father was going to take me to my training for 7 days going back and forth but my father got a job as well and so his schedule interfere with the times of my training so now he can't take me anymore. Now my only option is to just take the train, this will be my first time taking an Train to go to one state to another and I will be by myself which is scary. My only fear us that I will get lost and my other is that year it will be a great experience to go in one of the biggest buildings in center city. But, just scared to be alone by myself. I guess I have no choice but to face my fears just going to be hard leaving at 6 am and coming back at 6:30p to my state. I just don't want someone to beat me up or jump me or mug me. Or try to watch me attack me or something it's just fear..

Well theres no problem in taking a train! No need to be scared! You wont get lost, if you be careful, and keep eyes open so no one will attack you. The first time is always hrad, I know, but in some days it will be common to you :)

I think you'll be fine. It will be a growing experience for you. You will notice stuff you never seen before with your parents with you. Just pay attention to your surrounding. Best wishes with your training.

Hey sswallace, Thank you for your advice I will be very aware of my surroundings since it wil be my first time and my number be worry is to make sure I get off at the right stop. I sure it's like taking the bus but you will have more room. I hope that everything turns out fine for me in the end and i just see it as a normal thing like taking the bus home and to work and to other places.

As you haven't yet been on a train journey maybe it would be possible for you to take a train for a day out close to where you live. Then hopefully you will feel more at ease with your forthcoming train journey. I wear a money belt that is hidden under my clothing if I am worried about being mugged. I have had times where the train has arrived in the middle of the night and I have stayed safe. The train I was on arrived at Union Station Los Angles at midnight. Police were around that area. I caught a bus all the way to Santa Monica where I was going to be staying. The train is my favorite form of transport and I am a very experienced traveler. You are sure to stay safe and if worried ask the conductor on the train. I don't think you will get lost if you take a map with you. Good luck.

Hey maximax, That sounds like a good idea but I think I would wait even though it's ahold price going back and forth. I don't have the time nor the money to spend yet to just go one trip my isist said she will do it with me but, she said she can't because she works so I said that's fine I'll just go on my own I'll have God with me so I don't have no more to worry about I will pray on it, for God totake my fears away thanks again for the advice

I take a train to school and back everyday. Not nearly as far as you have to go, but since I was assaulted last year on a walk around my neighborhood I don't feel comfortable going anywhere alone. My paranoia levels have gone up in other words. These days I carry my cell-phone and a bottle of pepper spray in my two front pockets whenever I go out. I never take the train at night. You can't let the fear of what if or getting lost (another big problem of mine too! lol) stop you from doing the things you need to do or that you want to do. Take whatever measures make you feel safer, like carrying a cell phone or bottle of mace/pepper spray. Familiarize yourself with the route, or take a map. It's okay to be a little scared (or a lot scared!), just don't let it hold you back.

I believe a frist time train taker can be pretty scary. You are virtually standing/sitting so close to strangers that you can't help but recall the odd stories you hear on the news from bad train rides. I would say at first it is going to be a bit odd, then you get into the swing of things and eventually you actually start saying Good Morning to the regulars. Couple things to remember while on the train: Stay completely alert, do not sleep on train, be friendly and watch for your stop. lol

Hey hardworkinggurl, Thank you for your advice, I will keep that in mind I will stay alert and I know won't fall asleep how scared I will be but yeah it will be like taking the bus but sometimes people on the bus can be not nice and the stuff you see on tv and YouTube videos and the news does make you wonder but I guess and I am sure that's rare. I just hope that things turn out fine. I hope i have some where to sit since I will be up for nearly on the train. I wll be very upset and uncomfortable we will see.

Humm don't be sacred friend listenup at first we have the habit to be with our parents and gradually after a while we tend to stand on our own legs its time to prove yourself don't get into a fear what you will be lost. There are police officers at stations to help you. In fact you should be happeier that you will be meeting a new people through your journey make it memorable try to talk to people try making up some connections you will fee better dont remain alone. Be bolder in your approach and friendly this will help you.

Hiya payout, Is there someone you can send messages to on your Mobile Phone? I know this sounds very silly but maybe sending messages even pretend messages to someone even if you can´t might just steady your nerves seeing as you have to go on Monday. It is scary I know at that time of the Morning because I have to go out to work on my own at that Hour as well. Another things is take things to occupy your mind with and not think of anything like that in particular. It is hard to go on your own anywhere but I think that you will be alright. I think that if you had a Friend who is willing to be with you even if it´s by Mobile Phone talking away to you you might feel so much better then. We often fear the worst but it never usually happens. Good luck with your training hope you learn lots or whatever. I think once you have got over the first Journey or two you will be fine.xxx

My friend, they're your imagines. Don't fear any things. Life is easier now more than before. If you need help, you can call guards or polices etc... You should try to stand on your feet now. It's the right your time. I'm sure that your father is thinking same me.

It's normal to be scared, first timers really feels that way. My first time to travel alone was way back when I was 13 or 14 years old. It's a mixed emotion, of course afraid but on the other hand, excited. My trip was 4-5 hours ride on a bus to get me to my favorite aunt's house. I overcome my fear and got used to it, every week I do that and I enjoyed it. So, its okey, its just normal. Just try to enjoy the journey and don't think that anything bad will happen. Your guardian angel is with you always...Goodluck! ;)

THINK GOOD THOUGHTS!!!! We are all meant to be able to stand on our own two feet. Yes, you are well capable of doing just that. Get on that train as if you owned it. Who knows. You might just meet someone interesting on your trip.

We all have fears, sometime they may haunt us bady, that we can't even sleep. I love to pray and God to remove them and it works. There has to be a way to confont your fears. I have told you about my way, how are you going to deal with it in your way.

Don't be scared. Taking a train was a fascinating one. Hahaha.. It's like your riding on a roller coaster. I really like it. And don't be afraid to socialize. It's the way of life. But you must not trust everyone. Good luck to you! :)
