Hi Dear Sameer! Yes today the Team Pakistan has done a great job of defeating Australia which has remained unbeaten since 1999 ! Pakistan Presently having good team which is balanced with fairly good batsman and bowlers too! the team is having experienced old players to guide the young blood. If the team becomes one and keeping the personal differences aside if they sincerely decide to play the game, they can reach too far in this tournament! Pakistan is known all over the World for their dedication and killing instinct which they show in the matches! The do or die attitude they have is some thing, which other teams needs to learn from his team! Having won this big match now they should concentrate and play the future matches very carefully as these matches would be knock out type, to be successful in the match! Though it is the fact that best team is going to win the Tournament, I sincerely wish all the best to this team, while complimenting and congratulating on today's win against Australia! Thanks for the discussion!

Hi AK, Bowlers of Pakistan done extremely good job but batting was not upto mark.Pakistan was not supposed to lose six wickets to chase such low total.Anyways in the end "Jo jita wahi sikandar" means winner is real king. Thanks for responding.

Yes Dear Sameer! At the end of the day it is the 'Winning' which counts in any contest! And Pakistan accomplished it , so there is no point in conducting the post mortem of a win! Let us wish them all the best and congratulate them for leading the pool A !Thanks !

I want to thank you to all of you for your nice and cheerfuller comments regarding Pakistan and its Team. Pakistan's team with the label of unpredictable team has proven that once again they have the ability to beat good teams when they are fully charged. The way Pakistan started today's match it was clearly written on their faces, "they are in the ground to beat Australia" although batting needs more effort to reach to perfection but over all they were good in every department today. I must say, "Pakistan has an good combination of youngsters and experienced players" which was the key of today's win. Also Pakistan has good combination of bowling and batting. Still there are plenty of hard work must be done from them if they want to lift this world cup because there are no more error's chance left when game enter in the knockout stages. Although they got another solid technical batsman in the shape of Asad Shafique who is showing very good temperament to stand on one end but still there are some very bad errors done by batsman's during today's innings. Being a Pakistani I am feeling very proud on today's record breaking win but still there are 3 more tough games left to win to lift this world cup. So they must forget today's win as soon as possible and keep their focus on coming game and repeat their today's good performance. Once again thanks guys and congratulations to you too. Cheers

Yes because major part of the tournament is going to started after these pool matches which is the must win situation. In this level only win will give you success and one mistake will kick out you from the tournament.

Yes, finally somebody broke the streak. And I think appropriately it was Pakistan which was the first team to be humiliated by Australia in the 1999 final when this trend started. But it was setup by the Pakistani bowlers and exposed the Aussie batting line up and it's frailities. Cheers! Ram

All these years and even in this tournament Australia has been undefeated. The Aussies have built up a reputation of being tough, uncompromising and hard as nails customers. It was always felt that because of their positive attitude and never-say-die spirit, nobody could ever defeat them.In the old days they had a very strong team with top notch players like Warne, Mcgrath, the Waugh brothers Steve and Mark etc.At that time they were virtually undefeated. However with the retirement of these players the Aussies have looked vulnerable and have been defeated in many matches and series. At the moment they are building a new team with many young players and in this World cup they are in a group which did not give them much tough competition, unlike group B where the competition was tough. That is why when they met Pakistan they were all at sea and lost the match. However they cannot be written off and i believe we shall see more interesting matches in the lead up to the final.

yeah man really, thank god that australia is defeated, now their pride will make them loose in other matches too... ricky pointing is found guilty many time for misbehaving using abusive words and all those, they should take him out of the team for the goodwill of their team

First of all congratulations to the Pakistan Team. But I am a bit sad that Australia got defeated. I am a big fan of Aussie cricket. Anyways, i hope they come out as a better team in future matches because they have very strong teams to compete against with. I reckon this time world cup will be taken by either Pakistan or South Africa, just a guess.

Congratulation to Pakistan Team for their all round performance. They have proved their strength. From the 1st over they have command over the game. But I astonished by the decision of Aussie Captain. When Lee was so successful why after 7th over he was not called for. Ponting is a good captain. But this type of decision change the entire position.

This is because aussies have to defend very low total.Maybe Ponting wanted to reserve his good bowler for key overs at the end.But his decision didn't worked this time.

i also very happy to see that match because austrlia dominated the world cup matches for so long and it's time for them to go back because they don't have players like warne and adam.it will be very hard for them to win this world cup and i hope they don't win.

Definitely a good performance from Pakistan's side. From the beginning of the world cup itself it was clear that Australia's batting is not that much strong.Once again it came to seen and that resulted in their lowest total since 1992 world cup.At the same time Pakistan played outstandingly. They were able to restrict the Aussies below 200 runs. Now Pakistan tops the table in group B.

Due to retirement of hayden, gillchrist, symonds australian batting line becomes very weak.

That was an awesome match --- Pakistan outplayed the aussies in batting and bowling departments!Aussies never looked at ease in this particular match may be they were tensed over pak's capabilities to halt their 34 consecutive world cup wins feat.Pressure is back on india though...if they end up second in group B then they'll have to face Aussies in Quarter finals.Great day.

India have to face either australia or srilanka in qurter final. In both cases India have to face the tough team But you know my guts feeling says that Indian team will win worldcup this time.
• India
19 Mar 11
Yeah ,its really a great day for the pakistan supporters.Congratulations to all of the players and supporters. And like 1999, 2011 is also a bad year in case of world cup for the australians. It may be like a nightmare to them. But we can say that now game has become somewhat easy to the teams like pakistan, india, southafrica etc.But lets see what happens next. Who wins the world cup,its still a mystery, the competition is very very much tough for every team.

Nicely worded my friend.Really this time nobody can even guess who is going to win the worldcup. In this worldcup all the teams have equal chance to show their potentials.Again very congratulations to pakistan team.

Congrats to the Pak team, they really broke the Aussie dominance, hope its not the downfall of the great Aussies, though they should be loosing some of the matches here and there now...this loss must have given confidence to other teams that the Aussies can be beaten at their game, It is worht to note that they managed to get 6 wickets, had they got soem extra 30-40 runs then it would have been a different result...you cannot count them out...they would come back hard...beware Aussies gonna come hard at you (other teams)
