Taking paid surveys...how many can you take?

Lot of sites have paid surveys. I have noticed however, that some are "from" the same sites. Like i am taking a survey on Site A and at the bottom of the page it says 'sponsered by Site B" and I am either a member of Site B or remember taking that same survey on Site B. So...question is...can you take the same survey on different sites, even tho they might be connected somehow (or even if they are not) and still get credit for both and not terminated from one of the sites?

I've noticed that too. You do a survey thru one company and it's actually a survey from a diff site you belong to or are affiliated thru. But I have never done the same survey for both companies. Though I will say some of the questions are so repedative from one company to the next you know... like when are you going to buy your next new car? or something about cell phones... gets old sometimes.

I know! THere's this one that has been going around for over a year...yes I mean a full year...about hospitals in your area. I took it once, then twice and the third time I stopped and didn't do it anymore even tho offered. It is the longest most detailed, intricate, specific, LONG survey I have ever taken. I didn't finish it any of the times I gave it a try....30 minutes and still answering questions about hospitals (and doctors and insurance there) and with this current "you don't qualify" thing going on...I stopped the third time and now just delete it when it pops up.

That's one reason I stopped using various sites because of the "you don't qualify, but are entered in our sweeps" bs after you've made it thru the inital questions to qualify for the survey but get disqualified during the survey. I found one that I knew of someone else who got paid for their survey's fairly often but when I tried it I didn't qualify so I opted out of their and I've done that with others after getting sick of wasting time.

If you`re two different survey sites, I dont see why you cant take both of them and get credited. I`m sure they will credit. As for them being connected, companies do that. They want more people to take their surveys, I guess. Makes sense.

I would think that with IP address, that if they were to concerned...they'd monitor surveys that way if they wanted to. I haven't had to many dup in recent years, but this one was a duplicate survey site that had me wondering.

That sure complicates things, doesn't it, especially when some sites pay more for the same survey than others. Even P*necone seems to be farming out some of their surveys to others now. If I recognize one of those, I back out and don't take it from the other site/s. It seems to me that it would mess up the data if we took the same survey on multiple sites, but I have no idea whether it is against their rules or not.

I guess it could complicate, but then again... I am not the only person with my criteria in the world so if I do take it twice...could be said that I am just taking it for another person with my criteria and thoughts that doesn't do surveys. But I would think if they were to concerned about this...they'd track via IP address. I haven't had but a very few duplicates, this one wasn't a duplicate, but a survey from another survey site that I am on, and wondering why I didn't get it on that survey site. I have only seen one that has been routed so many times...about hospitals in my area....it is LONG and tedious and complicated so I only tried it twice and didn't finish it and now, just by pass it by. And what about our end? I don't remember every survey I have ever taken. If I do take one, it is not realizing I have before...I don't remember (as I am sure most don't) every one I take or where I took them. IF they don't want repetition...they shouldn't submit their survey to multiple survey sites.

Also, I don't remember what a survey pays. I just look at the initial invite, and if I have the amount of time required...I take it. I hardly ever even look at points or price. They "pay" what they want to pay and there is no changing that, so time is what I look at and decide by. I've seen some pay $2 for 10 minutes while others pay $2 for 50 minutes. So I just look at the time required and go by that.

Well, you might be able to do the same survey more than once, but it's basically creating junk data for the companies doing the research. They're not getting a good sampling of the population if one person is represented multiple times. So, since you'd basically be compromising the survey data by doing this, I've always figured the survey companies would totally be justified to cancel your account if they realized what was going on. I also wouldn't think it would be that hard for them to put two and two together if they see suspiciously similar answers and multiple accesses from the same IP address. It's not unusual for me to get invited to take the same survey by different companies either, but I always just close the window once I realize I've taken it before. I guess it comes down to ethics ultimately (plus fear of getting caught), but none of us are well-served if surveys no longer yield good data...that'll just mean no one will pay for surveys any longer.

There have only been a few that I have realized I had taken before. I didn't mean to make it sound like it happens all the time. I just recently had one I recognized as a duplicate and then that hospital one that has been circulating for months. I started it twice but it was so involved and repetitive, I have never finished it and it popped up again last week and I pass it by. But what made me think of this was I was on one site...started the survey and then noticed at the bottom is was "sponsered" by another survey site I am on. I didn't remember taking this survey, but wondered why it was sponsered by another survey site and not an agency like OTX or GDF ... but another survey site.

I don't do this as much as I used to. My two year old takes up my attentions these days. I still use Inboxdollars. They offer 2 surveys a day. I usually take those. Keeps things simple. I do remember error messages saying I had already taken this survey. So my best guess is you can't get credit twice.

There is no limit so as long as the survey company continues to approve them. There are times that I have taken the same survey on three different sites for the same identical survey. As long as they approve I take it. It is well know that some survey takers are signed up to numerous companies. I have people signed up to like 50, which for me that would be way too much. I have like 5 and again there are many times that the surveys are repeated and I have taken them and been paid with no problems at all.

Good for you then. I guess I won't worry about it. Like you said, as long as they approve it.... I can't imagen doing 50 survey sites! I have a couple, but can't hardly keep up with all of them! Life gets in the way and I even put time aside for doing them! I have 5 or 6, and even then not all of them send every day. And still...I'll take them for 15 minutes or so and then get told I don't qualify. I can't imagen doing that for 50 companies! But hey, if it works for them...more power to them!
