Tons of dress up clothes but no where to wear them to!

I have TONS of dress up clothes. By that, I mean fancy silk blouses, ruffly blouses, nice sweaters - tons and tons. I don't know how it's all accumulated. I try to wear this stuff when I go out - like a social gathering type of thing, but I don't go out all that often so I don't get my wear out of any of these clothes really. I love them all, they look fabulous, and I got great deals on them, but at the same time - the job I have doesn't require me to wear any kind of dress-tops (I have to wear a stinkin' uniform instead BLAH). I don't know why I hang onto these when I don't wear them. A part of me thinsk that because I'm trying to get a good office job, that I may need these things in the future.. Too bad they take up too much space as it is.. Anyone in my same boat?

Is there a way you can dispose of them, and earn a little bit of money from it? I think that by accumulating all of these clothes, just goes to prove that you have knack for finding good ones, and finding good deals for them. So, if you sold them out, and if ever that job comes up where you'll have to wear these type of clothes, I'm sure you wouldn't have any problems looking for good new ones, and good deals.

I just have a lot of clothes and nowhere to put them. Most of my clothes are kind of dressy though and I can't figure out what to do with them. I Think Im going to be buying containers and labeling the containers with tape so that I can easily get to the clothes. I usually end up wearing the same thing becuase I can't get to another good outfit.

I use to do this until I realized that if I have all those clothes i won't have the excuse to go shopping for newer, more in style clothes. Once I did this I cleaned my closets knowing someone else could enjoy my clothes and I let go of them to be able to buy more. This is what keeps capitalist ecconomies in business.

I have a lot of clothes in my closet with the price tage still attached. So I do know what you mean. If i'm not at work, or working online im at school. So finding time for me this up and comming summer is a must. I'll be done with school for the semester and free to do whatever as long as work doesn' get in the way.

hi there, me too, i have all these clothes, very nice dresses but i don't get to wear them because i don't go out partying anymore. but i keep them so every time my boyfriend comes home to me every year from the US, i can wear them again because we love traveling. i get to wear them on our date too and when we go to their family gatherings and parties. but when he's not here, i don't go out except for when it is very important like when i go to these offices where i need to get my papers completed. i am planning to sell some of them, those i don't wear anymore. but you can keep yours if you want, so when you get to the job that you want, you don't have to shop for new clothes anymore :)

I have a lot of od nice dress up clothes as well and don't get to wear them often these days but I still like to have them there so I have a lot top choose from when I do go somewhere that needs a bit of dressing up, I oftem change my mind on the day depending on weather and such so it is good to have choice.

lol ive been there! i end up filling up my closet and then when my weight changes just selling them later. i dont get to do things that require dressing up much but i dont want to have to buy new clothes in the future so i keep them till they wont fit and even then if its a slight weight change i may keep them to see if i go back to fitting them
