Knut the polar bear died on March 19 at only 4 years old.

I've only just heard about this and I am devestated. I remember watching a video about the birth and upbringing of this cub. He made global headlines in the first year of his life. Why is it that it took over a week to hear of his death.. but news of Elizabeth Taylor's death was viral the very same morning?
