Giving Up Is Not The Answer

Daily we go thru life and face many challenges and fears often to be let down or become more frustrated and just want to give up. We allow things to become to big to where when we might have just lost our job, lost a home, a loved one, or just maybe found out you have a major Medical problem to where you just want to run and hide. As I have been there and felt like going there many times, including quite a few even this yr. I am learning the Best thing I can do is Pray to God asking for guidance and direction and Trust and believe him he will see me thru. It is not always an easy answer and this does not mean from now on, everything is going to be alright. You do need to also be willing to talk with others finding out what else is available and who might be able to help you, and hope for the Best from there. If everything was easy there would be no need for anything to happen. Maybe you just need to surf the internet more until that Special job pops up, or find someone who can help with housing, or be a little more proactive to help motivate you a little more, and find out all you can about what Medical problems are ailing you. This should never mean life is over, and it is time to give up. This just means to change some of your priorities a little bit and move on. Life is too precious to allow anyone or anything to tell you you can't. ~~TINA~~

I've had so many horrible things happen to me in my lifetime that I've learned that the more proactive I am about fixing or getting over or even just around an obstacle, the faster it happens. Every time I was diagnosed with a new, chronic condition, I would search everything and everywhere to learn exactly what I can do about it to make it better. I've learned that diet goes a LONG way in many health conditions. Eating wrong can lead to serious medical conditions while eating right can correct many already-established medical conditions. I've been able to get off of about five different medications simply by changing my diet and becoming more physically active. I can't "exercise" per se but I have been taking more walks and doing a lot of things by hand that I could be doing with a machine. That has lowered my blood pressure, reduced my cholesterol and also my blood sugar level. I'm also sleeping much better at night. I have studied many religions because I questioned the one I was raised with too many times. I wanted to understand why there were other religions. From my studies, I've kind of adopted the Buddhist philosophy of making changes in yourself first if you want your life to become the place you want to be. It has helped me to survive some pretty awful things!

I love your response to this post, especially since you mention diet as being important in helping (or hurting) your overall health. I am working on that very issue now, and already i feel so much better just by replacing my sugary sodas with water. I have a long way to go, but I think as long as I keep taking steps in the right direction, I'll have a chance at getting better. I also have developed an appreciation for the Buddhist philosophy whereas through the years my own religion taught me to shun all other religions. I believe it helps to keep an open mindset in all things.

This last year and a half has been very trying for my family because of the medical issues that my husband has had to deal with. I did used to let myself get quite depressed about what is going on here because it does bring me down that he is hurting and there is no way that I know of to help him. However, I've recently turned back to praying about answers to his problems and I really do feel a lot more relaxed because I've doing that.

Giving up is never the answer to any problem in life. it might seem like a solution to what ails you, but in the end the problem will still remain and what you gave up did nothing to further or hinder your cause. giving up is not trying and and not trying ends in failure when sucess could have been just a breath away.

Life is not easy. Life is a mega drama. We are the players of that drama. It should continue till the end. Our life gives us happiness as well as sadness. We have to face everything that happen in our life. Giving up is not a solution for our problems. Take our life as a challenge. Do not blame other for our bitterness in life. We cannot think of a life free from all kinds of suffering. Find happiness in conquering the problems one after another. Be positive.

Hi, Tina. What an inspiring post! I agree with you that every time we encounter so many problems just hold and pray to God for guidance and strength and He will answer our prayers in His perfect time. I too have some problems, so much that sometimes I feel I want to give up, but my belief and trust in the Lord always save me. Trials, problems will always be part of our lives, no matter how much we tried to avoid it. But in the end, after the trials and pain we emerged as a better person. There is no use on dwelling on our problems, instead find a solution and if you feel that you already gave your best to solve the problem but its still there pause for a awhile and lift all your worries and problems to God. That's the best thing that we can do. Life is beautiful, lets all enjoy it!

I believe in working hard, trying, keep at it, never give up etc...but at the same time...how long do you go before you finally realize you need to just stop as it isn't going to happen for you? I mean, how long or how many times to you keep trying and failing before you have to accept the fact that it isn't going to work? Don't give up, just stop. I have been surfing the internet for nearly 2 years now for a job for my husband...19 job search engines I am enrolled in and search every day... and still...nothing. How long to I continue to search for something that apparently isn't there?

Hi KrauseHome. You are so right we can't give up God don't like quitters. Especially these days there are many programs out there that will help those that need it depending on what state you live in. There are all kinds of agencies out there. These days are going to get much worse my friend we all should be on our toes these days. There is too much evil out there these days trying to work on the weak. We can't be weak we have God on our side we have to stay strong and believe that God will never put more on us then we can bare. And if it gets too tough just know that God will always show us a way out of this situation. Keep the faith in God HE will never let you down!

I am also facing difficulties within my lifetime too, especially now. I tried to start a business to represent the companies from China, but I still not making any order yet. I had many financial problems, with credit debt on hands, accumulated from one card to another. Also, I carried debt that wasn't even mine, it is my friend, a business partner who used my personal info to apply a credit line and without paying for it. I regretted to start this business with him, and turn around, he stabbed on my back.

Absolutely giving up is never the answer and sometimes we do have to go to the extreme to realize that at some point we can stop and think for a moment and perhaps re-evaluate how to continue to proceed. I don't think that success comes easily in any area of anyone's life, many times we succeed after several failures as well. So giving up is certainly never the answer and for me it is almost never an option.

Life is like that sometimes there's always time for everything that there is, you can't be really sure of evrything, the situation will always be for something worse or not it goes further beyond that. I also have to face some reality about my self especially the details of every decision that I might be brewing in, I'm not at a lost but I have to be productive within my self and counter the odds that illuminates with it.

The real secret is that taking action gives you more control and therefore more peace. Take action-pray, take action-talk, take action-read, take action-search online, take action-apply for jobs.Doing nothing accomplishes nothing. Tina, I hope you are having success with your search for answers for your problem.

There are a lot of ways to over come negativity. Mental visualization and affirmations are just two. And praying for those that do that. Determination is important too. Surfing the internet is a very handy tool. If things were easy we would all be a bunch of lazy, unmotivated slobs! That wouldn't be normal.

There is not a day that goes by where I don't have moments of wanting to give up. I have considered myself a believer for many years, yet the cares of life can really throw some curveballs that can knock you off your feet. That's when I have to reach very deeply and pull from the very core of my being the strength to be renewed and keep on going. Prayer is such a blessing and comfort.

Hiya KH, Sometimes we can all get overwhelmed with all the problems we have to deal with. They may not be medical problems as such. The amount of problems we can face in our lives are numerous. If you seek help you are not always going to come up with the right answer either at first. So it´s a question of trying and trying again but you can get to feel like giving up. We have all been there those despondent times when we cannot see the way out of what is going on around us. Of course we have our own ways of dealing with things by ourselves. We each have our own innate wisdom in there. For some it will take years and others months to sort all their problems out whatever they are. Because we are all the same but different. Answer if you fall down don´t be afraid to get up again and again. Just like the Ant who wants to move the Rubber Tree Plant we must still keep on having a faith of some kind.
