I'm so glad that I'm not pregnant anymore this year for the summer, I got pregnant last year on January, I spent the whole spring and summer with a big belly. I wanted to go to the water park but I couldn't because of that. Summer is my favourite season, so no summer clothes for me at all last year. Besides, I was very hot all the time in the summer because of the pregnancy, I forgot why that is for pregnant women.

I think I enjoyed being pregnant as well but not at the beginning when I had the sickness and when it is time to pop!

We only have two seasons in my tropical country. The summer and the rainy season. I'm fortunate that I live in the coldest city in my country, so I'm not really bothered about being so hot. But my husband often tells me that I feel really warm during my pregnancy. Oh I got pregnant August to May 2006. I just wish I can be pregnant again soon.

My first pregnancy I got pregnant in December. So I spent the whole summer huge and pregnant. It wasn't too bad except we go to an amusement park every summer and I couldn't go because I couldn't ride anything. My second pregnancy I got pregnant in May or June so I was technically pregnant over the summer but again aside from not being able to ride rides, I wasn't miserable till winter. With my 3 pregnancy I got pregnant in October and had the baby in late July. So I spent the first part of the summer pregnant and the last part taking care of a newborn.

With my oldest I became pregnant around September. With my youngest it was around October. By the time summer came around I was full term. So as you can imagine the heat was very hard to deal with, especially with it being in the triple digits some days. Thank goodness for air conditioning, otherwise I probably would have never survived it at all! LOL Happy mylotting!

Actually I was a little glad that I didn't get to be very big until in the middle because by then I had to go to bathroom a lot a lot, I wouldn't be happy if I had to do that in the middle of the nights all the time.

I got pregnant with my disabled son in August 2006 and he was born in May 2007. I liked having my baby born in the spring time. I think being 7 to 9 months pregnant in the summer months would be too hot. I got pregnant with my daughter in September 2008 and she was born in June 2009. Again that was a pleasant time of the year for my baby girl to be born. June is the beginning of the summer so I didn't have to be pregnant in the July or August which would have been hot.

It was really hot for me, I was so miserable when I had to drive one of our cars which the air conditioner was out of order for the summer... then as soon as I had my baby born, I got to drive the new car but it was close to fall by then, a/c was not needed anymore...

All of my pregnancies but one I was due in early summer. Mind I only made it full term once so the rest where all born in the spring. It was good timing for me as I love to be snuggled up in big sweaters and comfy blankets. I was the opposite of most women though. I was never hot in fact I was anemic with all of them and there fore cold all the time. Even in late June last year I was wearing sweaters and sleeping with a big blanket or two. Especially since my husband had the air conditioner on full blast.

Maybe it is because we have different hormones? I'm not sure. I was way hot in the summer though, I remember my car's air-conditioner was out of order so I was suffering everytime I drove in the sun.

My doctor said it was the anemia and I was no where near normal in this. That most people are hot due to the extra blood in their system (we gain up to 7 lbs in blood while pregnant) so that's probably why.

When I was pregnant with my first, I gave birth in mid-June. I think, in retrospect, I would have rather been pregnant in the summer than have a newborn baby who couldn't sleep in the sweltering heat. My home didn't have air-conditioning and sometimes she was so fussy and crying that I would continuously bathe her to try to cool her down and make her more comfortable. My second pregnancy, I gave birth at the end of October so I didn't have the same issues :)

My house is pretty cool in the summer so it wouldn't be a problem to me.

I spent all 3 of my pregnancies in the 3rd trimester in the heat of summer. Yeah it's not much fun. Probably because we are just so uncomfortable and exhausted from everything that we feel hot and the best feeling in the world is to just sit still and relax.

Not much we can do when pregnant in the summer, sit down and stay cool is the best to do.

I was fortunate with both of mine to have been pregnant early on the summer and had both of mine before the following summer. I can see how uncomfortable it must have been for you because of the heat. I can only guess and say that maybe the added heat while pregnant has to do with the hormonal changes. Let's face it too, being pregnant, even with no complications is not such a comfortable feeling. So it must be completely difficult to say the least with the humidity. This has to be a really great summer for you and baby now that he is 6 months. It is a fun time during baby years, so enjoy the outside parks and water fun.

Hi. My first daughter was born in July and so I was pregnant for winter of one year and summer the next year. And am five months pregnant now. You are right, it is hot for me now and it is getting hotter! And going out in the sun gives me a terrible headache nowadays. But I cannot avoid it as my daughter's school is by 2 in the afternoon and it is an ordeal to get her ready and drop her off at school.

You were the lucky ones! Very few women don't get sickness, you should call yourself lucky :-)
