Why the treat old people so badly?

I don't have my grandparents with me anymore, and I would do anything to have them back. The taught me so much! The played with me...they gave me all what I wanted and I parents didn'r want to give me!
I don't have any bay memory from my grandparents..and I think all the old people have much more to share that young people. I hate so see or hear that there are many old people abandoned from their relatives..those people have done so much thing for you in your life!
we have to respect them and give to them a good place to live and the more important LOVE LOVE LOVE....
would you like to be abandoned from your kids when you get old? or do you think that you will never be old?
think about that..and love everybody around you!

kwylima I will bet your grandparents loved you too dearly,. You
have g rown up to be a thoughful wonderful young lady.I think
a lot of times younger p eople and even people of forty and fifty
are afraid to be around us white haired elderlies as if old
age is something they could catch like the smallpox or diptheria.'
thats sad as we mostly want the same things as the rest of you.
friends, and to be needed, to have something important or worthwhile
to do. not all of us are fortunate enough to have oodles of money
to travel and have fun.We also love to read, use the computer, listen to music, garden, play bingo, play an instrument in other words we are like
most everyone else just older.Yes we should all love each other.

Yes you right!
To tell you the truth I love being around "old people"..because most of them are so lovely..I feel like relaxing you know?!I don't know how explain my feeling but they make me feel comfortable and happy..even sometimes they are talking about something that I don't care or I don't like hahhaha!!

I do not understand all of it either. In other times we looked up to the older people in the family and cared for them. It may be that way still in some places. It is that way with some people I know, but not in all of society. I think you have a really good heart.

I think you have a really good heart as well! And I wish everybody could care as much we care about those people!
Even if sometimes we don't want to share...to talk or to be around them..at least let respect those people and treat them as humam!

My grandmother is already 96 she's old but we love her so much. She's far yet near because she is in our hearts. During summer we visit her and have a family reunion.

Yes totlly agee with your statements.
Very good and transparent thoughts...
But nature does not allow us to be young always and sholuld follow the system created by it.
It is a process and no one can avoid this.

What goes around comes around! so let's love to be loved and be happy..Nobody likes to be alone! Everybody likes to be around other people and have somebody to talk of just to be a company!
Never forget that all of us will be old one day!

i also love my grandparents thought they were both still alive, and we love them so much, we usually go to their house whenever there are special occasion and with the thought that they will only have less time in this world since they were old we always see to it they will have excellent time with the remaining years of their life.

Problems start when they become to much old.They forget, say something which is not in appropriate ,behave like a child and keep doing same mistake again and again.
I dont have my grandma but there are times she taste my patience.
Its not easy to live with person who is negative,depress and always complaining.
I am person have good patience and i tolerate these things and still love her because she has done a lot for me.But its not the case for everyone in our family.Esp young people tend to run away from problems.They want to live careless life.

Some people find old people a burden, not thinking they too will get old some day. I too don't have my grandparents anymore and wishes they are still around. I think about my own parents and I could never send them away. In doing so, you are opening door for people to hurt and abuse them. Somehow, I don't trust these facility who claim will take good care of them and relieved you of the burden. What burden? Who do we thing took care of us when we were incapable of caring for ourselves?? They didn't send us off to baby homes (facilities)...

We will all grow old one day.I loved my gandparents.Athough They were so old that they can not do every thing flexible.My family offered them good room to live and delicious food what they like.I am furious when i see somebody treated their grandparents terribly.We should respect them and bring them up that is our responsibility.
