I love my new Color Nook. One of my favorite features is the ability to download samples of books. There are quite a few books that I have purchased that I would have never even given a second look at in the store had it not have been for the free sample. Do you use this feature? What new authors have you discovered?

I don't own this but I have heard of it. I am not much of a reader at all. I'm glad that you are able to enjoy yours though.

Hello Sedel, I would like to get information regarding how you purchased your new nook. Is there a software that I need to purchase before I can have that feature. I am quite a reader myself and I would like to avail of of these sample books. Once I get that, I am more than willing to share to you my experience.

I purchased the actual eReader - color Nook. I can go on the Barnes and noble website, look at the available nook books, and download them - either the sample or full book - in seconds to read. http://www.barnesandnoble.com/nookcolor/ If you have a smartphone, you can download an app for you phone that will allow you to get the sample books from Barns and Noble. Kindle (which is thorugh Amazon) has similar apps for smartphones.

You might want to try Project Gutenberg where you can download free books that are out of copyright. Many classics. Check it out www.gutenberg.org/
