Waiting for new internet

I had terminated my internet subscription which I had been using for 12 years or so. I was not satisfied with the slow internet connection. It’s unbearable that the interruption would happen at any time. It’s really irritating, so I shifted to the 3G internet package then. I found it’s not worth as the charge was too expensive for me 
After seeking for ideal isp for some time, I finally encountered the one which interested me last Thursday. After signing the contract, I was told the technicians would come to fit the line on the coming Monday. That will be tomorrow morning, the 9th of May or they may come later. I hope they will come on time for I find it’s really monotonous without internet.
At present I’m eating out in a restaurant with wifi service, since there is limited time to get on line I grab this golden opportunity to write this discussion and try to reply some more posts as well. I’m used to surf net during my leisure and now I’m pretty elevated that I can participate in the activities here again. No matter how interesting other activities are, seem they not that interesting than to have fun here.
It’s weird that when having internet service at home, other activities would become fun as well. Lol…might be I’m internet poisoned as what my husband teases me all the time. Anyways I feel much pleased he is willing to take me to have lunch to celebrate mother’s day in this restaurant located in a tranquil environment amongst the thick green here. Lol... but I enjoy most is the speedy wifi service here

Hi dear,
You are waiting for your new connection and I hope it will be a good one according to your wish. It is very irritating when the speed is very slow with internet. If it is slow then I prefer not to work on net. If the net is down temporarily, then I may grab that opportunity to read some thing useful stuff in office. At home, I won’t do work at home computer most probably. Now the new one replaced with old computer still I am not getting time at home. The net connection also expected to be replaced with another scheme.
I am glad to know that you celebrated the mother’s day well. What you got from your son as gift. I am sure he given a wonderful gift for you on the special Day.

They never visited even on the second day, Tuesday so my husband went to ask about yesterday and was told to wait for a week or might be a month due to the system problem. I will return the tryout 3G Broadband modem two days earlier, that is tomorrow afternoon before the probation expiry, for weekend and Sunday are included. Anyway I will try my best to get online lol...

When reading your words "a grown up son" I couldn't help laughing out loud Might be he was too engrossed in preparing his coming exam until forgot to wish you. I know the difficulties to spend time without internet especially when you are depending more on net on daily basis. I said about reading when there is no net for few hours not few days. (lol) Are the net people visited home? I hope they will come soon and provide the internet facility.

. You know that my kids are small but they wished me and kissed me, and I have a grown up son he forget to wish me, he sent message to me but without the wish then I remind him,then only he remembered and sent the wishes, later he made a call too.

Hello lkbooi. I have now been used my Internet service from the same service company for eight years long. In another couple of days my Internet service period will expire. I am thinking whether I need to have service from another cheaper company with a faster speed. It is a question for me to think about before I make the final decision if it is convenient for me to have a new service. At home and in the office I can use the Internet. It is great to have net everywhere as it makes us spend time more easily and helps with our work conveniently. Have a great day, my dear friend.

Wow, eight years! It's quite a long time! Shows that it's a eight years internet service. Realizes that Internet Service is essential for people nowadays, new internet service companies and isp have mushroomed all over the cities and towns here. Free wifi is available in many beverage outlets and fast food restaurants. I believe such situation does happen in your place as well. On account of this I hope you would find your ideal network company with faster speed but cheaper subscription Therefore with an advanced smart phone with us is really convenient for us to surf net when we are away from home. Anyway it's more comfortable and freely to surf net at home

I have high speed cable internet service here at home that I am very Happy with. I also have a lap top so if I am going to be away from home for the day if I am up to it, I can bring my laptop and find somewhere with WIFI and hook up there and post here as well. The problem is when it is at the Library I can be there as long as I want usually, but the speed is SUPER slow there. In reality though, nothing beats the comfort of being able to have Internet here at my home.

I hate the time in-between, when you stop one Internet service provider and start another, there's always a period where you have no internet at all. I rely too heavily on the internet and being without it is like going cold turkey! Trying to fill your time up with something else. I guess most of us are guilty of taking the internet for granted, we expect it to be there. We also expect to have good service too. A few weeks back my internet went down and I had to go the library to get on the net, my router had given up and I had to wait for a new one to be delivered. 5 days without the internet! Felt like 5 weeks.

Really wolfie34, people like us, depend lots on internet, the time waiting for the connection to be restored or a brand new one installed bore us stiffly certainly. I'm satisfied with my current internet service, but daytime only. It tends to be rather slow beginning from the evening. This mostly happens in weekends and public holidays May be this is on account of more surfers having free time enjoying the exploration in virtual world.
Oh my, from your description I could imagine how great the torture was to you then! I'm sorry that you had to suffer from the inconvenience and long waiting for 5 "weeks" long. Fortunately that internet was available in the library and you could get on the web there temporarily Half a loaf is better than no bread anyway

Hello lkbooi, I have missed the internet for almost three year. I suddenly think of my friend here and drop in to say hello. My english is really bad so I'm busy in facebook because I can write in chinese there. If can write chines in mylot surely I will post my articles in mylot everyday

How happy I'm you can just imagine It's just like no internet connection to link us in mylot lol...It's nothing concerning about your language and your writing is quite okay I can get your info and expression without any difficulty.
Yeah, it's certainly more comfortable and relaxing using language which we can manage well. Lol...no wonder you spend your leisure in fb. I hope you join in the activities available here frequently and fully make use of your fluent and steady internet connection at home. I can imagine it is so bothering since your internet service provides such a low service. If there is something wrong with my ISP, be sure I will keep calling to complain about it until the problem is fixed. I can't change another ISP because there are no more better choices for me... I like to search the free internet when I am out and have free time. But most wifi accession set password already. So I have to go online by GPRS but it is slow. I can't really post in Mylot when I am out. But at least I like to check my Weibo. It is a website similar with Twitter.

Yeah, not only monotonous youless, it's really helpless as well when I can't get any internet connection and yet I have lots of things to share with or to deal with online. Some outlets have free wifi but not all of them work steadily but even much slower than what I had had before. There are two amongst them having pretty handsome speed but the foods and drinks available there are rather costly. To get on line there one in a while is no problem but visiting them daily I will be broke for sure very soon.
There are some restaurants here with wifi service have their respective password written on the wall beside the dinner table. Therefore customer can get on line on their cellphone or notebook handily.
We are told the new internet system facing some technical problems and I still have to wait for some time I then can enjoy the fast speed internet connection

I agree that it's not easy to find an ideal ISP. We need to do some survey before we could decide on the best plan that suits our needs. I am lucky to have the access to the ISP called Penangfon, and it's one of the best package that I have come across so far. It cost only RM60 each month for a unlimited connection at 2MB speed.
I will usually download all the market data in my company if my home internet connection is down, and analyze the downloaded data at home. Alternatively, I will go to the cyber cafe nearby to get online to read news.

Yeah cheongyc, that's why I had tried a few before to select the one I had subscribed on Thursday. I just hope the isp will send the technicians to fit up everything for me earlier. I was told there is a long list waiting for internet fitting. What I can do at present is wait and wait. after torturing from the slow and sleepy network, I long to experience surfing net with speedy internet connection. The new 2 mb speed is two times faster than the old one. I think it must be very handsome. But it's rather sad that I'm still in the waiting list....
I'm glad as well as envy you have an ideal internet connection with reasonable monthly subscription Hopefully the handsome connection will enable you to earn big money from the stock market beside letting you get latest online news.

Yep. I have internet at home. I had dialup for years and it got on my last nerve. The modem kept going out in my computer too. I recently got DSL and it is alot faster. I have not had any problems with my internet now. When I used to, I would clean house or work in my yard to pass the time. I like to surf the internet alone. I work online.

It's always very convenient to have our own private internet at home so that we can get online without any disturbance. Yeah, the dialup connection is pretty slow and it's too costly as well. Before fitting the DSL, I had to rely on the out of date dial-up system too. That was the time I was still new here. When waiting for the loading I could get the unique dialing tone
Nice to know that you have steady internet connection now. It's healthy indeed for you to do some clean up at home to pass time. These physical activities can keep you healthy and fit if you keep on doing them regularly. I enjoy surfing net alone as well, for I can concentrate my work or reading on the laptop

yes...now i find the reason why i couldn't see u much on mylot...
well now i will not miss my friend, and i wish too that they come on time and fit the line...
i mostly use from home..never got a chance to use from hotel etc...as when i go out i am busy with other things..and i am also escape using it outside as i am also considered to be bitten by same poison as U

I'm really depressed with no internet connection at home. It's still very inconvenient to surf net in outlet. it's sure that you won't be poisoned by internet as you still have to busy with your two lovely kids.
