poetry as a facebook status

Last month i have a new friend in facebook. She has a unique way for writing her status. She like writing a poetry for her facebook status. She write about her feeling in a poetry and then post in a facebook. It is kinda good to read about it since the poetry his an original, created by her. Not some poetry she found on the net and paste it in facebook.
Do you have any friend that like her, whose like to make a poetry and post it as status. What do you think of people like her? Do you like to read it, or do you not like it?

Well yeah, although i do like what my friend write, but since i am not really into it, i never make or post poetry in my facebook stat. I just not really able to make a beautiful poetry like that ( or i am to lazy and not to interest at making one ). Anyway, can you share what your cousin write in here? Thanks my friend for sharing your view with us.

Oh i see, well you should ask her to post her poetry some where. It is too bad if a good poetry left alone without anyone ever read it. You could also suggest her to make a blog. There are a lot of blog that have a post about poetry. Anyway, thanks for responding to this discussion.

I don't know the reason why she is sharing something that personal over facebook cous, i bet not everyone in her friend list respects that and some might even be making fun of her, people are like that.But they don't deserve to see something that personal of her.If she only has her close friends in her friend list , then its great and if she knows this happens and still doesn't care, then thats very bold of her.

LOL, well i don't think that is true. Maybe that your friend not really want to make fun of people who wrote poetry, they simply just make a jokes about it and hope the writer could have a smile reading out of it. They do that because they want to cheer the writer and not to make her piss. Anyway, that might actually happened, but i don't know. Thanks for you reply.

Well as far as i see from the comment, no one actually make fun of her. Everyone give her positive respond and i think most of them respect her. Also i don't think what she share is really personal, it just a feeling writing in poetry. Like when you are happy or sad, she just write so it had a rhyme and sound great when you hear it and feel good when you read it.

Yes, i see people post quote, i think there are many people who post quote. It is not that unique anymore, but for poetry, it is very rare. But still, it is fun to read quote every now and then. Especially if the quote really really good and we never heard before. Thanks for your respond friend.

I usually enjoy anything that is different and poetry on a Facebook profile surely is! Your friend sounds very clever and creative. I have a friend who posts very funny photo shopped pictures of herself and her baby and I always have a chuckle when I check out her profile. I like people who do different things like that.

Yes you are right, creativity really are something. It make you see something differently. Well i really want to see the funny picture that your friend make. I also like watching baby. Even if they do nothing they are funny. Anyway, thanks for your reply in this discussion my friend.

Oh i see, so you like reading poetry. Do you ever make one, and if you ever make one, have ever post in on facebook friend? From what you said, it seem you have done that, or at least you know people who done that and he / she who done that get great feedback from the reader. Anyway, i agree with you, poetry is good. Yes, and you should know, that the poetry its not only give strong will power to you, but it will also give that strong will power to the reader. A good poetry is a poetry that can make the reader understand and feel what the writer is feeling when he / she write the poetry. Thanks for your respond friend.

i make my own if i have something in my mind. well, my poetry depends upon my feeling that day. My friends understands and they are giving me hope and wil power if i have problems. That is by means of poetry. I love it. Poetry gives me better feelings and strong wil power to overcome my own problems. I raly love it.

Well i think it is very noble of her to do that. She just want to share her feeling to other. I don't think you can easily share your feeling in magazine. I see rarely magazine that are showing it's reader poetry, and even if there is one, i think the screening will be too hard and at the time it is shown, her feeling already changing so the meaning of her poetry doesn't tell about her current feeling anymore.

Yes it is sure brighten up a lot of people. Reading a beautiful poetry could make your hearth feel good. At least it work like that for me. Although i am not really into poetry, reading friend poetry still make you happy since you usually know the reason and the meaning of the poetry because you know the person who write it personally. I have not seen anyone on Facebook post poetry regularly on Facebook. I do have a male cousin that always seems to post realistic quotes about life in general. I have another male cousin that posts scripture verses from the online though. I also have a friend that posts positive religious insights most of the time as well. I was in a voting event that allowed many people to vote for my cousin's daughter though. She was entering the Rugby Poetry contest. She writes poetry and she is very good at what she does. I voted for her several time before though.

Oh i see, well yes, i also see a lot of people post a quote of famous people saying. But a poetry is rare ( although there is a few who do that ). Anyway, what is Rugby Poetry Contest, where it is held? Did it has a judge or the winner based on people voted ( some thing like american idol ? ). Anyway, thanks for your reply friend.

Interesting! Nope, no Facebook poets in my friends list - although there are poets there. Most of my friends/family will put a status about something going on in there lives. I can think of a few who pose "deep" questions or post quotes and birthdays of famous people - but none writing actual poetry. I am a poet myself, but I guess I save my poems for other situations - people tend to skim through FB, so they wouldn't make my ideal audience. But, it's nice your friend takes the time to write status poetry - and that you take the time to read it and appreciate it!

Well yeah, it is rare to find a friend whose want to make a poetry in facebook. But it is not rare to have a friend who would want to read it. My friend comment of her poetry is a lot. It seem every day she got more and more feed back. Anyway, you should just try to post your poetry in facebook, it will surprise that many people actually appreciate that. Poetry is one of my interests. I even have a blog page that hosts the poems i have written over the years.
That's really creative of her to choose the right kind of poetic words that would be her shoutout. Very spontaneous. And I think whoever appreciates it, like you, appreciates poetry too.

Yes, she is really creative, but i think you are more creative. To really create a blog and put all your poetry there is really good. My friend write her poetry in facebook, before long every body will forget it because it is hard to keep track of post in facebook. But in blog, your poetry will be easy to look back. I think you have a very creative friend there. Not all people can appreciate and make their own poems and express their feeling by writhing some.I sometimes try to write my own poem,but I think in the surroundings that I am in now, nobody can appreciate it but me so I decided to just hide my passion in poetry writing.
Well I guess your friend is very unique and she is very artistic in expressing her feelings.It's nice becoz she can use facebook not only to express her feelings but also to show her talents.

To me I enjoy reading these statuses.However, there are many people who express themselves in this way.For them it is very important because they know that more people will read it and will receive recognition.

Oh yes, good for you to be able to enjoy poetry. With many people giving appreciation it will make the writer become more active at writing a new one. He / She will feel that many people support what he / she do, so he / she don't won't to let them down and they will keep writing and writing.
